With the midterms just three weeks away, the radical left have been lashing out more and more against GOP candidates and lawmakers as Election Day drew closer. In recent days, extreme liberals have taken to even physically assaulting people on the right. This rash of attacks and threats had gone largely unreported on the major broadcast networks (ABC, CBS, and NBC). But during Wednesday’s Tucker Carlson Tonight, Fox News anchor Trace Gallagher reported what the networks refused to.
Up first was an incident in Minnesota where “state GOP Representative Sarah Anderson says she confronted a man for kicking down her campaign sign” when he punched her. The assailant called her an “anarchist” and told her “she should kill herself”. “He comes charging at me and gets between me and the car door so I couldn't shut the car door. And I didn't want to just -- I froze basically,” Anderson said in a soundbite.
Without leaving Minnesota, there was “first-time candidate Shane Mekeland [who] says he was at a restaurant in Benton County, Minnesota talking about campaign issues when he was blindsided.” According to Mekeland, “This gal over here asked me something and I was talking to her and that's when this gentleman literally just punched me out of nowhere.”
“Mekeland says he blacked out when he hit the ground of medical records show he suffered a concussion. Police are investigating both attacks,” Gallagher added.
The liberal media would probably argue that the attacks against those right-wingers weren’t worthy of national media attention because they are state-level politicians. But that didn’t explain their dead silence on the suspicious letter sent to GOP Senator Susan Collins (ME) that required a hazmat team to respond to her home.
“This time a letter was sent to Collins' home address to her husband claiming it contained a deadly poison ricin,” Gallagher said. “Parts of Collins' home and her dog are now in quarantine while a crime lab checks out the letter.”
Gallagher also highlighted the chilling letter sent to Vermont legislative candidate Deserae Morin, which claimed the left was “hunting” her:
The letter to Deserae Morin was made up of words pulled out of printed material to spell, quoting here: "We are hunting you. My comrades will kill you and the constitution. Socialism is here. Open season for Republican. Death in Vermont." Morin says her platform of low taxes and small government apparently makes socialists want to kill her.
Even Soros’ goons couldn’t keep out of the fray. According to Gallagher’s reporting, “a Democratic operative for a group funded by George Soros is in jail tonight after allegedly assaulting the female campaign manager of the GOP candidate.” “Kristin Davidson said the attack left her traumatized and horrified,” he added.
Following Gallagher’s report, Carlson explained the sad reality surrounding the attacks: “Well, you’d think that violence, physical attacks, and threats in our political system would shock all of us, but this point, unfortunately, nobody is really surprised. It almost seems normal.”
“Using force against Republican officeholders and conservatives now seems like a feature of our political landscape,” he said. The liberal broadcast networks have abdicated their duty to shine a critical light in this issue.

Republicans in both Minnesota and the state of Nevada have been assaulted, in effect, punished for violating the unwritten law: thou shall not oppose efforts of the left to gain power. In the meantime, another threat against Maine GOP Senator Susan Collins, who of course cast the key vote for Justice Brett Kavanaugh. This time a letter was sent to Collins' home address to her husband claiming it contained a deadly poison ricin. Parts of Collins' home and her dog are now in quarantine while a crime lab checks out the letter.
A GOP candidate running for Vermont's state legislature also got a threatening letter reminiscent of a mystery novel. The letter to Deserae Morin was made up of words pulled out of printed material to spell, quoting here: "We are hunting you. My comrades will kill you and the constitution. Socialism is here. Open season for Republican. Death in Vermont." Morin says her platform of low taxes and small government apparently makes socialists want to kill her.

Well, you’d think that violence, physical attacks, and threats in our political system would shock all of us, but this point unfortunately, nobody is really surprised. It almost seems normal. Just last year that a progressive activist tried to murder an entire field of Republican lawmakers practicing baseball. He gravely wounded one of them. Strangely, you didn't hear calls for gun control in the days after that happened. And at this point, we’ve practically forgotten it ever happened at all. And so the cycle has accelerated. Using force against Republican officeholders and conservatives now seems like a feature of our political landscape.
