CNN, like many liberal media outlets, loves to pretend liberals represent all people -- or if women are protesting, liberal women represent all women. On New Day Saturday, liberal activist Linda Sarsour was given an unchallenged forum as a guest to rail against Brett Kavanaugh and the possibility of a conservative majority on the U.S. Supreme Court as CNN hosts Christi Paul and Victor Blackwell did not even bother to label her as a liberal activist.
The segment began with co-host Paul recalling that a number of women were arrested on Capitol Hill as they held a demonstration against Judge Kavanaugh. Blackwell introduced her as "co-chair of the Women's March," and began by posing the most generic softball imaginable:
VICTOR BLACKWELL: You were part of the demonstrations on Capitol Hill this week. Tell us the message that you were trying to send and your reaction now to this weeklong investigation that's been ordered by the President.
Sarsour asserted that "women are outraged, we are enraged" over the Senate Judiciary Committee voting to approve Kavanaugh, and complained about his conservative ideology. She declared that "Brett Kavanaugh was disqualified before Christine Ford came out with her allegations, and we still think he's disqualified, and we're going to do everything we can to keep him off the Supreme Court." .
Without giving any pushback from the conservative viewpoint, or wondering if there's any conservative lawyer Trump could nominate that they wouldn't try to obstruct, host Paul followed up about "women's voices," not allowing many women support Kavanaugh:
CHRISTI PAUL: Do you feel like you've been heard? Let me ask you that. With everything that has happened this week, do you feel that the women's voices that we have seen -- and they weren't just obviously there. I mean, they were in front of the offices of many congressmen -- [Lisa] Murkowski and [Susan] Collins. Do you feel like your voices are being heard? And what are those voices prepared to do as we head into midterms?
LINDA SARSOUR: ....We want this administration to know that women will not sit back -- we will not go back -- and we will not allow our rights to be taken 40 years back, and this is what this lifetime appointment of Brett Kavanaugh does. This is serious, this is a generational fight, and the Republicans want the Supreme Court, and we're saying, "Absolutely not -- not on our watch."
The CNN hosts then wrapped up the segment without ever challenging her anti-conservative views.
