This is a tale of two young, outspoken women in media. One is a liberal tech writer. The other is an enterprising conservative new media reporter. Twitter seems to be unprepared to deal with answering Congress’ questions, so instead it  backed off. The platform caused an uproar on November 25 when it permanently banned conservative pundit and former enlisted Jesse Kelly without explanation.

Salesforce CEO Marc Benioff has butted heads with other big tech CEOs over tax policy. Now he wants big tech regulated. Benioff doubled down on his recent critique of Facebook being as dangerously addictive as cigarettes, suggesting that it must be regulated to make sure it serves the public good.

The group known as “Smash Racism DC” on social media posted a video of their antics on Twitter, which had since been deleted by the site. But the video could still be found on Facebook. Several prominent conservative leaders on Tuesday authored an open letter to Attorney General Jeff Sessions, calling on him to investigate “every aspect” of how Facebook, Twitter, and other social media outlets "interact with the public."
