Nets Pile on to Attack ‘Controversial’ Indiana Religious Freedom Law

On Saturday and Sunday, the “big three” (ABC, CBS, and NBC) networks vigorously condemned a new Indiana law that would protect private businesses from government infringement on their religious freedom. Rather than provide balanced coverage of the Indiana bill, the networks eagerly trashed the legislation as opening “the door to discrimination against gays and lesbians.”

Barney on Business: 'Your Being There Means Somebody Else' Won't Be

Two days ago I ordered online a used copy of Milton & Rose Friedman's classic "Free to Choose," hoping a liberal loved one would be willing to read it. That doesn't look like it's going to happen, so now I'm tempted to send the book to Barney Frank—since it's apparent that, like many liberals, he doesn't understand the most basic notions of how free markets work. On Steve Kornacki's MSNBC…

USA Today Sports Columnist: Exile 'Lunatic Fringe' Indiana

Nancy Armour was a sports writer for Associated Press for years before coming a sports columnist for USA Today. Or a sports censor. Armour believes anyone holding a conservative view based on some ancient holy text that homosexuality is a sin should be punished and exiled in some say. It's a "lunatic fringe," she writes. When Indiana’s governor signed a law creating a religious-freedom exception…

Sat Night Funny Video: ‘Five Letter’ Cable Channel Concerned for GOP

When the Hillary e-mail scandal broke, FNC’s Bret Baier noted in setting up a video compilation, “one cable channel with five letters quickly got to another story line, one that involved Republicans and one familiar line involving playing cards.”

WashPost Gushes Over Harry Reid, 'Democrats' Master of Maneuver'

The Washington Post sounded just like a Democratic Party rag, getting out a hanky at the news that Senate Minority Leader Harry Reid won’t run for re-election. The front-page headline was “Reid laying down gloves after 28 years in Senate: From hardscrabble childhood, he rose to pinnacle of power.” Inside, the headline was “Democrats’ master of manuever will not seek reelection in 2016.” Post…

CNN, Chris Cuomo Invite Gay Radical to Blast Indiana's 'Bigotry'

CNN and New Day anchor Chris Cuomo stacked the day against social conservatives again on Friday morning. During a segment on Indiana Governor Mike Pence’s passing of a Religious Freedom Restoration Act (RFRA), CNN asked on screen"‘Religious Freedom’ Law Legalize Discrimination?," as Cuomo wondered out loud "‘why is there so much concern about how others choose to love?"   Cuomo then welcomed his…

NY Times: GOP Shows 'Unquestioned...Lockstep' Support for Israel

Did you know that Republicans are in "unquestioned" "lockstep" support for Israel? That's how some New York Times headline writers saw it in an analysis by reporter Peter Baker, "For Republican Candidates, Support for Israel Is an Inviolable Litmus Test." The initial online headline portrayed the GOP as mindless slavish drones for Israel: "Republicans, in Shift, Demand Lockstep Support for…

Yes, Barney Frank Admits, I Want to Blame Only Bush

As a long-term strategy for defeating jihadists, Americans blaming George W. Bush ad infinitum is sure to be a winner -- for jihadists. It's right up there with American retreat from leadership in the world as high on their list of goals. And sure enough, former congressman Barney Frank heartily endorses both. Frank was among the guests on last night's Real Time with Bill Maher, brimming with…

Who's More Mainstream? Ted Cruz or Liberal Media?

Texas Senator Ted Cruz, who announced for president this last week, is completely understanding of what lies ahead. Said a wry Cruz to Fox’s Megyn Kelly: "Well, look, there's nothing like the warm embrace of the mainstream media.” In other words? In other words the conservative presidential candidate realizes that the supposedly “objective” mainstream media can’t abide conservatives and will do…

Miami Beach 100th Anniversary Story Turned Into Global Warming Warning

Yahoo! News published a story about the 100th anniversary of Miami Beach. If you read the article you will at first be treated to some interesting information about the tourist destination. Unfortunately, the author, Diego Urrdaneta, could not restrain himself from finally subjecting the readers to the usual leftwing agenda about how global warming (or "climate change" as they now call it when…

'Gay Money Is No Good in Indiana,' Liberal Blogger Claims

A contentious battle between supporters of religious freedom and people in favor of gay rights in Indiana reached a turning point on Thursday, when Governor Mike Pence signed Senate Bill 101 -- a measure that both the state House and Senate had passed earlier in the week -- into law after stating: “The legislation is about respecting and reassuring Hoosiers that their religious freedoms are…

President Michael Moore Would Cut Pentagon Budget By 75 Percent

Many people fantasize about what they’d try to accomplish if they were president of the United States. Some even write it down, and a few publish their thoughts, as Moore did earlier this week in the 150th-anniversary issue of The Nation. A few of the ítems on Moore’s list of twenty seem to be meant humorously (e.g., “free HBO for everyone”) but he’s serious about the clear majority of them,…

More PC From AP's Stylebook: Global Warming' Is Now 'Climate Change'

This is what happens when you have a 17-year "pause" in supposedly human-caused "global warming" and need to maintain appearances. The Associated Press's Stylebook has now given journalists who pay attention to its guidelines permission to use the term "climate change" when they would previously have felt it necessary to call it "global warming." The agenda-driving clue is seen in the wire…

Online Magazine Hypes 'Yogaphobic' Catholic Priests

Andrea R. Jain bemoaned how a "growing number of individuals and institutions oppose yoga, and actively encourage fear of it" in a Thursday item on Quartz, an online magazine from the parent company of The Atlantic. Despite passing mentions of opposition from evangelical Christians, such as Southern Baptist leader Albert Mohler, the Indiana University-Perdue University Indianapolis professor…
