What CNN did Thursday morning was a crime—against good journalism. In a New Day segment discussing the soft-on-crime policies of the new Manhattan DA, CNN focused on the less controversial aspects of his policies, while failing to disclose the truly outrageous ones.

On CNN's New Day, co-host John Berman taunted Texas Gov. Greg Abbott for signing an executive order banning vaccine mandates, "severely limiting the freedom of businesses to make their own choices." Does anyone remember Berman, or any CNNer, criticizing CA Gov. Newsom for backing and signing a law ordering big-box stores to create "gender-neutral" toy aisles?

Yesterday, we noted substitute New Day host Kaitlan Collins claiming the Texas law "predominantly affect[s] lower-income women."
