Things are not at all well on CBS Evening News, the flagship evening program for the third-place broadcast network. After making the major transition from CBS This Morning anchor Norah O’Donnell has been floundering in the rating fight with ABC and NBC by hemorrhaging viewers for the first six weeks, according to the Nielsen ratings.

Over the last few days, Joe Biden has unleashed a series of gaffes, some bewildering, some amusing, some just odd. On Friday he informed a crowd, “I’m not going nuts.” But journalists on the network and evening newscasts have shown little interest in discussing them or asking what they might see. On Friday, Joe Biden speculated about Barack Obama’s theoretical assassination. 

Instead of continuing to stay the course and attempt to resemble balance in a newscast, CBS News has decided that, with a change in anchor, they'll be going further leftward in moving longtime CBS This Morning co-host Norah O'Donnell to the position of CBS Evening News anchor and managing editor to replace Jeff Glor (who announced his final show will be Friday).

In a ceremony at the White House Rose Garden Monday, President Trump awarded golf star Tiger Woods the Presidential Medal of Freedom for his contributions to the sport and his historic career. But members of the liberal media groaned because the two men had been friends for years. NBC Nightly News went so far as to have one of their analysts claim Trump had cheapened the award.

After his hearing before the Senate Judiciary Committee on Wednesday, congressional Democrats and the liberal media were in sync as they accused Attorney General William Barr of lying to Congress. During Thursday’s evening newscasts, ABC and CBS seemed excited by Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) standing before the press and calling Barr a criminal.

According to the New York Post’s Page Six and Variety, the CBS News is about to undergo some serious personnel changes.
