Trump Impeachment 1 and 2

The day after the Senate trial ended with a 52-48 vote in his favor, a triumphant President Trump appeared in the East Room of the White House and grinned as held aloft a copy of The Washington Post. The headline: “Trump Acquitted.” The President’s immediate audience of family, staff, plus his legal defense team and members/supporters from the House and Senate roared with laughter.

CNN White House correspondent and self-appointed guardian of the truth John Harwood joined CNN Newsroom co-host Jim Sciutto on Friday to baselessly speculate that President Trump may open up "full-scale investigations" into Adam Schiff and Mitt Romney as revenge for their roles in his impeachment.

After being acquitted of the impeachment charges against him earlier in the week, President Trump apparently wanted to remove those who gleefully took part in the Democratic Party’s attempt to remove a duly elected president from office. Despite the fact they served at the pleasure of the President, all three of the broadcast networks were aghast that Trump would fire National Security Council…

Still lamenting the Republican majority in the Senate acquitting President Trump in the impeachment trial, on Friday, MSNBC anchor Katy Tur touted how more people voted for the senators who supported conviction and bizarrely feared that “gerrymandering” was somehow helping the GOP win so many Senate seats.  

With the shaming of Nancy Pelosi et. al, the liberal media, including Latino Nets, turned their attention to dissenting Republican Mitt Romney, giving the former GOP presidential nominee the hero's treatment after he broke party lines by voting “guilty” on the impeachment article of abuse of power against President Donald Trump.  

The View co-host Joy Behar had a minor meltdown on-air during Friday’s show, expressing her frustration over President Trump’s acquittal. Visibly rattled, she admitted she had been driven “crazy” by this administration and was getting “nuttier” by the day.

Mitt Romney was the sole Republican to vote to impeach Donald Trump, and the New York Times front page on Thursday demonstrated its strange new respect for the Utah Republican the same candidate it spent 2012 vilifying for standing between Barack Obama and a second term -- in Mark Leibovich’s “An Act of Defiance Against a Party He’d Personified.” A text box on the jump page cast Romney as making…

In a truly tone deaf show open Friday morning, MSNBC’s Morning Joe cheered the supposed “humility,” “dignity,” and “humanity” of former President Bill Clinton at the conclusion of his impeachment in 1999, while denouncing President Trump’s post-impeachment White House address as a “freak show.”   

The CBS and NBC evening newscasts on Thursday complained about Donald Trump’s reaction to his impeachment acquittal. CBS called it a “stark contrast” to the dignified response by Bill Clinton. NBC fretted that the President “shattered the bipartisan tradition” of the National Prayer Breakfast. (Forgetting that Obama mixed politics too.) 

Rick Stengel was being facetious . . . right? Then again, given the authoritarian proclivities of the left, who knows? On Nicolle Wallace's MSNBC show this afternoon, Stengel — the former Time editor turned Obama aide turned MSNBC analyst — appeared on Thursday's Deadline White House and said:

President Trump was just acquitted on impeachment charges that Democrats threw against the wall in hopes that they would stick, so naturally MSNBC Live was that, unlike Bill Clinton, he refused to apologize and took a victory lap at the White House Thursday afternoon.  

The left’s best efforts at removing President Trump ended with an impeachment acquittal on Wednesday, Feb. 5, and the man had an off-the-cuff victory speech about beating the “vicious” Dems on Thursday. How do you think lefties in Hollywood were holding up?  

Immediately following President Trump’s White House address on Thursday in which he took a victory lap over his acquittal in the Senate impeachment trial, NBC went to work slamming the “diatribe” as a “greatest hits of grievances” and an event that “had to be exceedingly difficult for Democrats to watch.”

CNN showcased for all to see Thursday afternoon its undisputed position as leader of the opposition party and hate for President Trump, lashing out at the post-impeachment speech as an “angry,” “dark,” “disturbing,” “mean-spirited,” “poisonous,” “spiteful,” and “vindictive” “set of remarks” by a man in “a dark place” and “deep psychological distress.”
