Thursday’s news that the Senate Impeachment trial of president Trump might conclude without testimony from any new witnesses had the Hollywood left convulsing. The left has been clamoring to hear new evidence of Trump’s corruption during the Senate trial, hoping that testimony from witnesses like ambassador John Bolton would reveal the guilt of the president, that they’re so adamant exists.

Politico is deeply concerned about impeachment. Not that it could drag on for weeks or even months. No, their worry is that the almost inevitable acquittal of President Donald Trump will lead him to taking a "victory lap" as he's itching to plot a "flashy series finale for impeachment."
