On Tuesday’s Morning Joe, co-host Joe Scarborough laughably claimed that “history has chosen” the Democratic Party to “defend the rule of law.” The same Democratic Party that excused Bill Clinton’s perjury in the 1990s and dismissed Hillary Clinton’s email scandal in 2016.

CNN host John Berman tried to goad congressional Democrats into taking action against the Trump administration. On  New Day, Berman taunts Dems as "the boy who cried contempt," demands to know when "the rubber will meet the road," and frets that the Dems will "succumb to the delay tactics" of which he accused the White House. Joe Scarborough's white-hot hatred of Donald Trump apparently extends to members of the President's administration. The Joy Reid show stokes fears that President Trump will refuse to leave office if he is defeated in the 2020 election, saying there is a "significant threat" of that happening, and drawing parallels to the Watergate era, asserting that President Nixon floated the notion of using military force to remain in power. 

Axios national political reporter Jonathan Swan has the reputation of being the objective person in the room when he’s on panels often dominated by open partisans and media folks pushing left-wing narratives. In an appearance during ABC’s This Week on Sunday, Swan popped a few liberal bubbles when it came to suggestions that President Trump’s tweets about former VP Joe Biden meant he was afraid.…

With the liberal media boosting Democratic Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s partisan accusation that Attorney General William Barr committed a crime and lied to Congress, NBC’s Sunday Today highlighted Michael Cohen, President Trump’s former personal lawyer and “fixer”, who was due in prison Monday on charges that included lying to Congress.

On Joy Reid's MSNBC show, a hyperbolic Malcolm Nance goes on an agitated rant, warning among other things that the nation could end of President Trump wins re-election in 2020.

The New York Times and the rest of the media were miffed by Attorney General William Barr daring to call spying by its proper name during his testimony before the Senate Judiciary Committee. The media’s amusing aversion to the word “spy” was obvious on the front page of Friday’s Times, which came up with this wonderful euphemism: “F.B.I. Sent Cloaked Investigator To Question Trump Aide in 2016."

The Late Show host Stephen Colbert devoted his opening monologue Wednesday night to trashing Attorney General Bill Barr. Throughout the course of the monologue, Colbert referred to Barr as a “political call girl” and praised the Democrats on the Senate Judiciary Committee for their questioning of Barr earlier in the day.

Poor Alisyn Camerota. She had so been hoping that the Mueller report would bring President Trump crashing down. And now that it seems very unlikely that will happen, Alisyn is deeply bummed. Or, as Camerota put it this morning "they've broken my spirit," adding that the lack of action against President Trump is "disheartening."

After his hearing before the Senate Judiciary Committee on Wednesday, congressional Democrats and the liberal media were in sync as they accused Attorney General William Barr of lying to Congress. During Thursday’s evening newscasts, ABC and CBS seemed excited by Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) standing before the press and calling Barr a criminal.
