Promising to air “all sides” in their ongoing series “Voices Against Violence,” Monday’s CBS Evening News featured its second installment with gun control activist Andy Parker, who used the occasion to blast the “cowards” at the National Rifle Association (NRA) for “blocking...sensible gun legislation.”

In a gushing profile on Monday, Politico’s Hadas Gold touted: “At least 18 national media outlets have female reporters on the Clinton beat....No one can remember a political press corps this heavily female.” She proclaimed: “The change seems to be a combination of more women doing political reporting in general, and many more being drawn to Clinton's potentially historic candidacy.”

During an appearance on Fox News’ MediaBuzz Sunday, former Special Report anchor Brit Hume blasted the media for its over-the-top reaction to recent comments Dr. Ben Carson made about guns in the wake of the Oregon shooting. Hume observed that “some of the reactions to his statements were bordered on hysterical.”
