Friday’s PBS News Hour followed Laura Barron-Lopez on the Kamala Harris campaign trail, testing out the Democrats’ new line of personal attack: Branding Republicans as “weird” and “creepy.” Barron-Lopez dropped her previous sensitivity to rhetoric and seemed to approve of the new tactic.

On MSNBC's The Weekend, MSNBC contributor Jason Johnson singles out Josh Shapiro for the most pointed criticism among all of Kamala Harris' leading VP possibilities. On Morning Joe, they freaked out over Donald Trump joking to Christians they won't need to vote in four years because "we'll have it fixed." Al Sharpton suggested that Trump is planning to eliminate early voting and drop boxes, which would mean that "voting will not matter."

The Weekend host Michael Steele filled in for Joy Reid on Thursday night’s episode of MSNBC’s The ReidOut, giving an obnoxious tribute to President Joe Biden. During the segment, he invited MSNBC analyst Jonathan Alter to demonstrate the apparently stark contrast between Biden’s “decency” and the “malicious” and “nasty” Republican Party.
