TV "news" hosts have come rushing to the defense of radical-left and DSA-backed Democrats. Over the weekend, Kristen Welker and Al Sharpton both threw the "no evidence" card at anyone asserting Senate candidate Abdul el-Sayed has ties to terrorist sympathizers and terror groups.

NewsBusters Managing Editor Curtis Houck and MRC Free Speech America VP Dan Schneider joined the show to assess the midterm coverage as we head into the fall campaign.

On Meet The Press, Welker attacked the National Republican Senatorial Committee: "The NRSC continues to put out social media posts claiming that Abdul El-Sayed has quote/unquote 'terrorist ties.' And yet, there is no evidence that he has terrorist ties, Senator. Should the NRSC stop running those ads?" Sen. Tim Scott shot back: "We know without question that he had family members who helped resource Osama bin Laden. We know without question that he campaigns with Piker, who said at one point that America deserved 9/11."

On MS NOW's PoliticsNation, Sharpton spoke directly to El-Sayed about his opponent Mike Rogers: "He seemed more interested in talking about you pushing unsubstantiated claims, trying to paint you and your family as terrorist sympathizers." Sharpton moved on without making El-Sayed respond to that. His sister celebrated the massacre of Jews on October 7, and his birth mother worked for an Islamic relief agency accused of funding terror groups.

The Twitter account DSA Watch featured a DSA organizer talking about ripping apart the Democrats in a "violent process," but that hasn’t been required so far. The standard line is for Democrats to talk up having a "big tent," but it's obvious the DSA wants to take it over, not join a coalition. In Florida, Senate candidate Angie Nixon joined the DSA, and  the talking point going around on the news shows is you somehow can’t associate her with the DSA and its platform.

We also discussed how most media outlets try to ignore the hypocrisy of these "democratic socialists" (like Gustavo Gordillo in New York City) coming from wealthy families, living high on the capitalist hog while trying to take it down. Now the New York Post is mocking a rich young girl in the DSA as "Lulu Lenin."

The socialist faction among House Democrats is already noticeably increasing, and what happens if the Democrats narrowly retake the House? Will this larger socialist faction be able to call the tune as House Democrats get organized? The networks indulged in describing Republican House Speaker Kevin McCarthy as overseeing a GOP mess when they narrowly took the majority.
