ABC's heartfelt drama A Million Little Things just aired one big thing on Thursday night when it had it's 12-year-old characters share their first kiss - a gay kiss.

The NBC sitcom Perfect Harmony can be a charming show that often shows a positive, loving image of rural Christian churchgoers. While the show also goes off-key at times in its portrayal of rural Christians, it has steered clear of pushing contemporary sexual agendas.

After everything we’ve seen from The Young Pope, the only way HBO’s follow-up The New Pope would stand out is if it tried to be reverent. Unfortunately, even after two episodes, it’s clear that we’re just going back to the same pattern of being obscene and insulting the Church. The “Second Episode” proves that with more nudity and a jab on how the Church “loves.”

Killer Inside: The Mind of Aaron Hernandez, Netflix’s new documentary series highlighting the former NFL star and convicted murderer, Aaron Hernandez, has brought the conversation of personal responsibility to the forefront of society. The problem is Hernandez is portrayed in a way that largely avoids the fact that he is culpable for his own actions.

It’s 2020 and liberal television still thinks it’s a big deal to have a character be gay. It’s so important that characters outing their superhero alter egos on television is also a big deal. Seemingly-benign LGBTQ personality Jonathan Van Ness has devoted recent months to authoring children’s books with not-so-benign themes. The Queer Eye star is doing his part to introduce transgenderism and gender confusion to children with a picture book about a “nonbinary guinea pig.”

Not wanting to be outdone by Netflix, HBO presents its own anti-religious series in The New Pope. This companion series to HBO’s previous blasphemous, slanderous, and all-around unpleasant series The Young Pope is set to make up for the nearly three-year absence of terribleness. On Friday, January 10, Netflix premiered a new show co-created by drag queen RuPaul titled AJ and the Queen. RuPaul is the host of the popular show RuPaul’s Drag Race. AJ and the Queen is about a 10-year-old child who accompanies Robert (RuPaul), a gay male drag performer who goes by “Ruby Red” as he travels across the country performing in drag shows at mostly gay bars. But Netflix sure has come a long way from being solely a streaming service to now creating and promoting shows that showcase sexual fetishes, like sleeping with multiple partners, being attracted to partners of either sex, and bondage.
