Hollywood is infamously liberal and the Oscars are always a night when they really let their political freak flags fly. Whether it’s activist films or actors lecturing to the American public during acceptance speeches, politics inevitably takes center stage, especially in an election year.

Climate alarmists can’t stop harping on the so-called “consensus” about the causes and consequence of climate change, so much so that they’re using children to shame “deniers.” Climate Reality Project, a group former vice president Al Gore founded, promoted a video of an eight year-old girl shouting at an opponent, claiming that “97 percent” of scientists agree on climate change. On Monday, Charlie Rose used the insulting term “climate deniers” as a way to describe those who dare express any sort of skepticism of climate change propaganda. He asked, on his PBS show, if “climate deniers” have “gained strength?” Bill Gates responded that “the problem of climate denial is not a huge problem outside of the United States.” 

The special 6-episode reboot of The X-Files ended tonight and the title, “My Struggle II,” probably perfectly describes most viewers’ ability to follow the confusing new mythology of the bookend episode.

Former longtime Tonight Show host Jay Leno returned to the deliver part of the monologue on Wednesday’s show for current host Jimmy Fallon (as the show was held in Los Angeles for the week) and Leno used the opportunity to pan Republicans but also the Clintons for their countless scandals, Bernie Sanders over his age, and Donald Trump for his disdain of Megyn Kelly.
