Game of Thrones fans know “winter is coming.” What they didn’t know was the most popular show on HBO is also a “parallel” to governments now facing the threat of climate change, according to a New York Times Style Magazine interview with its creator.

Amid all the media hand-wringing over President Trump’s contentious 60 Minutes interview, one common theme that emerged on Monday morning was all three broadcast networks fretting over his skepticism of man-made climate change. Anchors and correspondents were aghast that Trump could have any doubt in the wake of a recent “dire” United Nations report on the global climate.

Do these people hear themselves when they talk? On October 11, 2002, ABC’s Barbara Walters offered this bizarre validation of Fidel Castro’s dictatorship: “If literacy alone were the yardstick, Cuba would rank as one of the freest nations on Earth.” Of course, if your yardstick for freedom is freedom, Cuba doesn’t do so well. 

Whenever there is unusually cold weather in winter or chilly temps in summer, the more sardonic among us will quip, so much for global warming.Those who believe global warming -- sorry, climate change -- poses an imminent threat and has for decades (huh ...?) invariably reply, that's not climate, that's weather. More accurately, they respond this way ... until the next big hurricane.

The same magazine that warned last year the “Uninhabitable Earth” was coming due to global warming, is now making even more over-the-top claims about that threat. New York Magazine climate columnist David Wallace-Wells not only interpreted the latest U.N. climate warnings as “permission to freak out,” he made plenty of predictions that could urge others to panic, too.

We’re about halfway through this year’s edition of Sarah Silverman’s I Love You America, and the end can’t come soon enough. With Kavanaugh derangement, Trump derangement, and a downright hatred for conservatives, the Hulu show has been leftist spiral after unfunny leftist spiral. Now October 11 brought another episode with all 3 awful features plus a bonus lecture on climate change. Yippie!
