On Tuesday’s NBC Today, NBC weatherman Al Roker warned viewers that climate change was “threatening some iconic American landmarks” and even touted predictions that Washington D.C. may soon be underwater as a result. The only problem with that dire forecast? NBC has been making that same wild claim for the past 30 years.  

While Americans’ observed the 18th anniversary of 9/11 last Wednesday with honor and reflection, Trevor Noah on The Daily Show thought it wise to pontificate on the issue of climate change with 16-year-old “climate activist” Greta Thunberg. As to be expected, Noah’s slobbering interview commenced with heaping praise upon Thunberg for her “courageous” sail boat journey from Britain to New York:

Launching NBC’s Climate in Crisis on Monday’s Today show, as part of the network’s new climate unit, weatherman Al Roker talked about how “thrilled” he was to head up the effort to push environmental activism and touted a recent trip to Greenland as proof of the “crisis” and “ground zero for climate change.”
