(CNSNews.com) -- Several House Republicans introduced a bill on Jan. 13 that would prohibit federal workers from using their position to advocate for censoring free speech expressed on social media platforms, such as Twitter and Facebook, and on other outlets.

The Twitter Files have uncovered the internal mess that Twitter has become over the last six years as the company has interfered in American elections, directly colluded with federal government agencies and censored Americans.

NBC Late Night host Seth Meyers reacted on Tuesday to the revelations that classified materials were found at The Penn Biden Center from President Biden’s tenure as vice president with a random shot at Fox News host Tucker Carlson photoshopped The Joker. Beyond Meyers, the men of late night varied greatly in their response to the news, but all managed to cover it.

MSNBC’s Andrea Mitchell fretted that the new House GOP-created Select Subcommittee on the Weaponization of the Federal Government will be populated with incompetent hacks while Obama DHS Secretary Jeh Johnson predicted violence as a result.

CNN senior media reporter Oliver Darcy acted like a flunky for the FBI, throwing a conniption over Twitter owner Elon Musk’s revelations that the bureau paid the platform millions to “censor”  Americans.

The FBI finally issued an official statement on revelations of its work with Big Tech to censor Americans in the Twitter Files. The explanation? The people reporting on the files are “conspiracy theorists.”

The FBI attempted to dodge the legal process and “get Twitter to share data outside of the normal search warrant process,” according to independent journalist Michael Shellenberger, who broke the Twitter Files Part 7 story Monday. 

It turns out that not only did the Ministry of Truth brigade at the FBI prime Twitter to censor the Hunter Biden laptop scandal, it was also reportedly paying the Big Tech platform millions.
