Just when I hoped that maybe, with a new administration and continuing pandemic, Hollywood might be a little less self-aggrandizing and political this year, the Golden Globes went and burst my naïve bubble.

Spike Lee was horrified by the Capitol riots on January 6. Back in the summer when mobs were burning American cities under the auspices of Black Lives Matter … well, not so much. You see, to Lee, those rioters were “true Americans” and Trump is Hitler.

American media is so ignorant and so corrupt that instead of being able to recognize Joe Biden as a Catholic who promotes and mandates sinful behavior on a national level, they liken him to a religious maverick whose error on Church teaching could actually be a new, more nuanced way of interpreting Catholic dogma.
