Cheering his work on health care and literacy, they focused less on the killing and the jailing.

CNN En Español’s Directo USA newscast recently spent two segments on the Cuba issue, and the contrast could not be more stark. The first segment tried to frame a reduced turnout of protesters in Miami as a sign that regime opponents are losing hope. The second segment then devoted over nine minutes of uncontested false information and communist propaganda. 

What did last year’s Trump rallies have in common with this year’s anti-communist protests in Cuba? Not much, perhaps, except that they are certain to be covered by CNN as coronavirus superspreader events.

Some of the largest anti-Communist protests in Cuban history are currently occurring 90 miles south of the United States because six decades of Marxism and its fruits have turned the island nation into a hellhole. People need to start seeing it for what it is. Everyday Americans should see how regimes built on Marxism end up trampling on and killing any concept of human rights. 

Every so often the media has brief moments of honesty worth noting. On Sunday’s Inside Politics on CNN, the liberal panel of journalists worried about the far-left’s control on the Democrat party “damaging” the Biden administration, with one panelist even noting that many Democrats supported Cuba’s socialist regime. 

The popular uprising against Cuba’s totalitarian communist dictatorship has been a source of bad media takes and dopey whataboutism, but Telemundo’s morning anchor raced to the top of the fetid pile with his use of the SOS Cuba protests as an instrument with which to bash Republicans over Texas’ election security legislation.

Three days after first asking her if the administration would condemn communism and the far-left ideology’s gruesome affect on life inside Cuba, Fox News’s Peter Doocy finally got White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki to condemn on Thursday both communism and demand the regime grant “freedom” to the Cuban people.

CNN En Español couldn’t resist the urge to turn a report on anti-communist protests in Miami into a cheap dunk on Florida Governor Ron DeSantis, going so far as to air a false on-screen chyron that read: “Some Causes Are More Noble Than Others According to DeSantis. 

With thousands of people flooding the streets in Cuba protesting the communist government the past several days, entertainer Pitbull passionately showed his support, calling on people to "wake the fuck up" about what’s going on in Cuba.
