With New York Mayor Eric Adams bowing out of the 2025 mayoral race, CNN’s Erin Burnett saw fit to interview the frontrunner: State Assemblyman Zohran Mamdani. What ensued was not so much an interview as it was the construction of a warm cocoon from which Mamdani could emerge if it was safe enough.

One of the side effects that the Comey Indictment has wreaked upon the Acela Media is its inducement of a 180-degree turn on prosecutions perceived to be political. It’s (D)ifferent, you see, now that Resistance FBI Director James Comey is going to face trial. 

The indictment of Resistance FBI Director James Comey is clearly the top news story of this weekend’s cycle. As Jake Tapper’s interview of Speaker Mike Johnson on CNN’s State of the Union demonstrates, the legacy media do not quite yet have a handle on this story.

The indictment of one James Comey has triggered among the legacy media and other Acela elites a case of Biden Amnesia wherein they forget the targeted prosecutions of then-former President Donald Trump. And in this case, CNN’s Scott Jennings also catches them in a blaring contradiction.

The words of the legacy media suggest that they abhor political violence in all its forms, and condemn such acts. But they continually platform the very politicians that inflame our discourse during delicate times. The latest example of this is Dana Bash’s interview with Texas Congresswoman Jasmine Crockett on State of the Union. 

While in the process of explaining the comedic process to his debate table interlocutor on CNN’s NewsNight with Abby Phillip, comic and filmmaker W. Kamau Bell did the classic “clown nose on/clown nose off” that is the hallmark of the left-regime comic. That he did it while explaining Jimmy Kimmel’s mendacious Monday bit is pure poetry.

The ramifications of Jimmy Kimmel’s suspension are far-reaching and cannot yet be fully assessed. One consequence looks to be particularly painful.

ABC’s summary suspension of Jimmy Kimmel Live! over the host’s callous remarks regarding the assassination of Charlie Kirk quickly became the top story across the insular Acela Media. CNN’s NewsNight with Abby Phillip was no exception.

It is not an exaggeration to say that the Acela Media appear more upset about the loss of Kimmel’s show than they are about…

It’s been a week since Turning Point USA founder Charlie Kirk was assassinated by a trans-adjacent (allegedly) leftist with a grudge. Despite a press conference by the local prosecutor with extensive details, the legacy newscasts avoided any discussion of the shooter’s motive.  

The legacy media are fighting the motive narrative battle with the intensity of the last Japanese soldier in the Philippine jungles after the end of World War II. CBS, in particular, is insisting on a lack of motive in the assassination of Charlie Kirk.

The NBC Nightly News complains about the rash of firings of individuals celebrating the assassination of Charlie Kirk. A report full of misrepresentations and obfuscations attempts to turn these formerly-employed individuals into the newest, purest victims of the shooting.

ABC’s Martha Raddatz had a weird Sunday while sitting in the host chair on ABC’s This Week. She spent most of it attempting to elicit her mostly conservative guests to condemn in some way, shape, or form President Donald Trump’s remarks wherein he accused the “Radical Left” of the assassination of TPUSA founder Charlie Kirk. And she whiffed.

The horrendous murder of Ukrainian refugee Irina Zarutska aboard a Charlotte, North Carolina light rail has taken a significant turn for the worse, with the release of video showing Zarutzka’s heartbreaking final moments. But the legacy media appear to be already running away from an inconvenient story.
