SMILF oozed onto the scene last week in its Showtime premiere that discouraged prayer and encouraged gross immorality and, well, was just gross. In the second episode, "1,800 Filet-o-Fishes & One Small Diet Coke," on November 12, we have more of the same.

When a show begins with a main character looking at Jesus on a crucifix in a Catholic Church while snidely saying to Him, “Thanks for nothing,” you know right away that there is a clear anti-Catholic bias and that things will go downhill from there. In the same program, a cop remarks, “We found Lucas Garza's body at a Catholic church. You know who hangs out at Catholic churches? Priests.”

On Sunday, MSNBC’s AM Joy host Joy Reid decided that she would spend her day making one clueless, deranged, and false statement after another on issues ranging from the definition of classical liberalism to guns to the NRA to the Sutherland Springs church shooting to even the ministry of Jesus Christ.

On Friday's episode of The View, there was a panel discussion on whether "some" of Judeo-Christianity's Ten Commandments are "obsolete." During that discussion, co-host Paula Faris mentioned "Jesus" twice. A video of the segment at the show's YouTube channel cuts the audio both times Faris uttered His now apparently forbidden offensive name.

With storylines about gender-curious gerbils and killer clowns, American Horror Story: Cult has been pretty off-the-wall but, in the October 24 episode "Winter of Our Discontent," they managed to go off the deep end. The episode had everything, from a Nazi cop, to an incestual threesome, to a woman bleeding to death from an abortion.

  In an exhausting, insane monologue Thursday evening, MSNBC host Lawrence O’Donnell spent over twenty minutes opening his show ranting and raving about White House Chief of Staff John Kelly’s press briefing earlier that day. O’Donnell presented Wilson as a saint, and characterized General Kelly as a racist who “dehumanized” a “black woman” because he hates people who are not “like him.”

The first episode of Hulu’s I Love You, America with Sarah Silverman featured awful humor combined with full-frontal nudity all in the name of unity. Surely it can’t get any lower than that. While the nudity level is significantly lower, I have to say that this episode is sadly worse.

I watch NBC's Will & Grace so you don't have to, and be grateful I did. ABC’s American Housewife has shown a lot of potential to be a good show in its second season after bashing conservatives in its first. It’s been refreshing to hear jokes that are actually funny and not loaded with a political agenda.
