It’s a bad day for free speech. The U.S. Supreme Court ruled Wednesday that the government may continue to pressure Big Tech companies to censor speech it disapproves of, and dissenting Justice Samuel Alito tore the outrageous decision apart.

Beyond that: ABC, CBS, and NBC determined that the latest developments in a horrendous crime that has shaken the country were not newsworthy.

We have heard repeatedly during this election cycle that Donald Trump is a deep and abiding threat to democracy. That threat supposedly springs from Trump’s belief that he won the 2020 election, as well as his promotion of the specious legal theory that the vice president has the unilateral power to invalidate certified state electoral votes.

Making his second appearance in less than a week on the Fox News Channel’s Fox News @ Night, NewsBusters managing editor Curtis Houck ripped CNN for both its “arrogance” and “petulance” ahead of its Thursday night presidential debate as well as the legal trouble the network has found itself in with allegations of defamation (reported by our own Nick Fondacaro).

On Morning Joe, Washington Post columnist and MSNBC analyst Eugene Robinson says that if Biden can "remain upright" and "make sense" during this week's presidential debate, that will be a "massive victory."

Seldom does a segment on cable television provide one with such glaring, blazing, in-your-face proof of the cloistered nature of our Regime Media, and of the obvious disconnect between them and the audience they purport to serve. MSNBC host Rachel Maddow aptly demonstrated that cloister during her opening monologue.

Nick Fondacaro broke a story on how debate moderator Jake Tapper's show aired a nasty hit piece that spurred a defamation lawsuit from a man working to evacuate people out of Afghanistan. Internal messages show profane malice from reporter Alex Marquardt and others. It's no one's idea of idealistic investigative journalism. It sounds like Gotcha journalism.

The PBS News Hour went after Donald Trump and Fox host Greg Gutfeld for talking boldly about the 2024 election. They categorized it as "right-wing disinformation" and brought on a "nonpartisan" expert (ahem: leftist) who predicted there would be civil war in 2023 over elections. Oooops.

First, he recited a series of leftwing tropes on crime and immigration while deflecting criticism away from the Biden Administration’s handling of these pressing issues. Afterwards, he fretted that voters are insufficiently aware of President Biden’s achievements over these four years.
