On CNN’s New Day Thursday morning, the network ended the 8am EST hour with a gooey segment hyping Kamala Harris as essentially the next [female] Barack Obama. Correspondent Kyung Lah went to a Harris 2020 rally and spoke only to minority families, touting how girls and families were “inspired” by the biracial Harris, running for President.

On MSNBC's Morning Joe, after playing a Fox News clip of Shepard Smith reporting on the progress, or lack thereof, on building the Wall, Joe Scarborough says "in Shep we trust."

Once again, the media and 2020 Democrats have become indistinguishable. CNN host Chris Cuomo began his closing argument Tuesday night by using a line frequently used by Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden: “This is a contest for the soul of our country.” Cuomo’s declaration headlined a monologue devoted to trashing President Trump’s immigration policies.

On Monday, all three network morning shows were giddy over two weak challengers against President Trump in the 2020 Republican primary and even hoping for more quixotic candidates to enter the race. NBC and ABC touted ex-Congressman Joe Walsh issuing a “stinging rebuke” to Trump while CBS again urged contributor and former Senator Jeff Flake to jump in the contest.

On Sunday's AM Joy on MSNBC, Washington Post columnist Jennifer Rubin renewed a previous attack on former Donald Trump administration members as she declared that they should be "shunned" for the rest of the lives, and that the Republican party should figuratively be "burned down" so that there are no "survivors," punishing Trump's "enablers."

Of course, Stephanopoulos humored him by letting the former Congressman bash the President and pushed back weakly on Walsh’s history of incredibly racist statements. Yet, during the so-called “powerhouse roundtable”, they admitted that Walsh didn’t have a chance at beating Trump; and Stephanopoulos found the important “question” was whether or not Walsh could “wound” the President’s chances.

It's pretty much a done deal. President Donald Trump's chances of re-election are almost non-existent. In fact for him to win the 2020 election "might take an act of God." So declared T.A. Frank in Wednesday's Vanity Fair. And if Frank's smug certainty in prognosticating the outcome of the next election sounds familiar, he was just as certain of Trump's 2016 election loss in October of that year.
