In a surprising twist, Nightline journalists and guests at ABC hailed Donald Trump’s Tuesday night town hall with voters and host George Stephanopoulos as “pretty good,” showcasing the President’s “empathy” and “calm.” The most shocking praise came from veteran Democrat Rahm Emanuel who saw strong “message discipline” from Trump.

On Saturday's NBC Nightly News, the show displayed another crack in the liberal media narrative that mail-in voting works quite well as correspondent Katie Beck informed viewers that many mailed votes are rejected over signatures, which she also noted disproportionately effects minorities.

It must be fall campaign season, because our incredibly tilted Democrat media are rotating through a series of  authors ripping into President Trump. Start with the most overpraised journalist in Washington, Bob Woodward, who is almost as old as Joe Biden, but is still trotted out with great fanfare as the conquering hero of Watergate.

Billed as a presidential town hall with questions from undecided voters, ABC showed that they pulled a fast one on the American people as Tuesday’s The President and the People: A 20/20 Special Event ended up being debate prep for President Trump as, instead of Joe Biden, he faced 90 minutes of hostility from chief anchor and former Clinton official George Stephanopoulos.

What was pitched to viewers as a “20/20 Special Event” Tuesday, a town hall with President Trump, turned out to be the first 2020 presidential debate. But instead of Democratic nominee Joe Biden as Trump’s opponent, the President squared off against ABC’s chief anchor and Clinton lackey, George Stephanopoulos, who took every opportunity to battle his guest.

It was quite the sad sight to behold during the Tuesday evening newscasts. The liberal broadcast networks (ABC, CBS, and NBC) were so overcome with their visceral hatred for President Trump that they went out their way to decry the Trump administration-brokered Abraham Accords, the Middle East peace deal between Israel, the United Arab Emirates, and Bahrain.

Journalists jump on every Trump misstep, highlighting gaffes and cringe-inducing comments from the President. Yet, awkward moments from the two Democratic candidates are conveniently ignored. As if it wasn’t enough that Joe Biden took Friday, Saturday and Sunday off with no campaign events, the networks skipped Kamala Harris championing the “Harris administration” before quickly backtracking…

In other announcements no one asked for, The View co-hosts shared their fantasy team of presidential debate moderators on Tuesday’s show. Perhaps not surprising, more CNN hacks made their dream list than actual ABC journalists!

It’s a new week so the Hollywood anti-Trump outrage dial is on a different setting for the time being. According to our sources, we’ve strayed a bit from the Woodward book outrage cycle and  back to climate change hysteria. It’s almost comforting to be in such familiar territory. 

Some days, CNN’s Chicken Little routine about President Trump is so hysterical it seems like parody. Tuesday, the network was not about to give the president any credit for visiting California and speaking to local leaders about the wildfires. Instead, they accused Trump of "assaulting science" by not blaming climate change.

The leftist media are so desperate to drag Joe Biden across the finish line in November that they are willing endorse any vile accusation the Democratic nominee hurls against President Trump, even to the point of exploiting a deadly natural disaster. That lapdog obedience to the Biden campaign was on full display Tuesday morning as all three network morning shows cheered their candidate…

Worse than Watergate. It’s a liberal media cliche that has been used so many times, it has little meaning. But that didn’t stop CBS This Morning co-host Tony Dokoupil on Tuesday from goading journalist Bob Woodward to declare that the revelations in his book are “graver than Watergate.”
