MSNBC Guest Slimes: SC Shooting 'Deeply Ingrained' in U.S. History

MSNBC anchor Alex Wagner brought on two guests, Thursday, to broaden the tragic shooting in South Carolina to include a uniquely American culture. Wagner mentioned the fact that the state still flies the Confederate flag and University of Connecticut professor Jelani Cobb retorted, "If we could isolate this to the Confederate flag, we would be in good condition."

Gallup Poll: Confidence in Police Rates Twice That of Mainstream Media

A new Gallup survey has revealed that Americans have approximately twice as much confidence in law enforcement personnel -- 52 percent -- as they do in newspapers -- 24 percent -- and television news -- 21 percent. The telephone poll was conducted June 2-7 and included Gallup's newest survey on confidence in U.S. institutions, which it has updated every year since 1993.

Nets Covered Candidate Obama's 2008 Europe Trip 13X More Than Jeb’s

Back in 2008, the three broadcast evening newscasts showered then-Democratic candidate Barack Obama with good press during his trip to Europe that July, giving it a total of 92 minutes over an eight-day period (July 20 to July 27, 2008). GOP presidential candidate Jeb Bush’s trip to Europe last week didn’t garner a single mention on ABC’s World News Tonight or the CBS Evening News.

Boosting Bush: Liberal Media Pushes Jeb to Whack Conservatives

Jeb Bush’s entry into the 2016 GOP primary race hands the liberal media an establishment candidate that they enjoy using as a tool to whack conservatives. Bush’s stances on immigration, Common Core and other issues have drawn praise from the likes of Chris Matthews who cooed: “He wants to run on his own terms. He’s not going to become a wacko bird. He’s not going to join the clown car...he…

Preelection FBI Study Team Admits Media Distorted It — 6 Months Later

In late September 2014, the Federal Bureau of Investigation released "A Study of Active Shooter Incidents in the United States, 2000-2013." To say the least, the report's issuance, timed six weeks before the midterm elections, and its topic ("a specific type of shooting situation law enforcement and the public may face") were curious. Given the press's inclination to sensationalize and…

ABC Ignores Hillary's Expanding Donor Scandal

ABC's Good Morning America on Thursday ignored a new report indicating that Hillary Clinton's favors for donors to her family's foundation go back to her days as a U.S. Senator. CBS This Morning allowed 42 seconds on the Clinton Foundation scandal in general, but didn't specifically mention the new allegations. "Former President Bill Clinton is defending his family's charity and rejecting…

Fed Court Upholds Texas Abortion-Clinic Regs; MSNBC's Wagner Mourns

MSNBC's Alex Wagner devoted a full segment on her June 10 Now program to kvetching with Planned Parenthood chief Cecile Richards about how great an injustice it was that the Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals refused to strike down a Texas abortion-clinic regulation bill which had resulted in the shuttering of clinics which fell below code.

Bozell & Graham Column: Politico's Clinton-Scandal Dismissals

Politico keeps posting ridiculous columns by both Democrats and Republicans who charge that the Clinton scandals are either (1) nonexistent  or (2) all politically harmless. It’s better to focus on the second kind, a Republican who thinks the Clintons are much smarter than idiotic conservatives who hold their scandals against them.

MRC Study: TV News Protects Obama from His ISIS Failures

In May, as ISIS terrorists captured the cities of Ramadi and Palmyra, and with FBI warnings of hundreds of radicalized sympathizers here in the U.S., ABC, CBS and NBC devoted a combined 84.5 evening news minutes to ISIS. Despite the dour news, viewers heard virtually no criticism of President Obama’s handling of the terror group — just 43 seconds in a pair of NBC Nightly News stories, or less…

Obsessed With Police Misconduct: Top Network Story for Another Month

As they did in April, the Big Three network evening news broadcasts in May spent more airtime talking about alleged police misconduct than any other single topic – nearly 109 minutes, more than the amount devoted to the Amtrak train derailment, the horrific floods in Texas or the war against ISIS. Nearly all of that network airtime was devoted to just three instances of alleged misconduct (in…

On His New Show, FNC’s Gutfeld Zings Jon Stewart: ‘Edgy’ is Not Risky

The second edition of FNC’s new show starring funny man Greg Gutfeld will run Sunday night, reminding me he ended his inaugural show last Sunday by taking on the “vacuous” who “pawn stupid stuff as cool” and create the “snickering dismissal of an intellectual class trained by the Comedy Central applause sign.”

Pummeling Perry: The Media’s Worst Attacks on the Fmr Texas Governor

If his 2012 presidential run is any indicator, Rick Perry’s jump into the 2016 presidential race will bring about a flurry of the liberal media’s favorite pejoratives to hit Republicans with. Racist? Anti-science? Religious bigot? Gun nut? Heartless cutter of programs for the poor? You name it, the former Texas governor was called it by his haters in the leftist press.

Limbaugh Deciphers Schieffer's Claim That Journalism Has Gotten Harder

Amid the fanfare for CBS newsman Bob Schieffer upon his retirement, conservative radio host Rush Limbaugh provided a helpful translation for some of the code in Schieffer's parting remarks. Schieffer appeared on CBS This Morning on Friday and was asked how Washington and journalism have changed since he jumped in the game back in the '60s. While Schieffer was optimistic about the future of…

FLASHBACK | Chris Matthews: Hillary Should Tap Gov. Kasich For Veep

Reposted today (February 17, 2016) in light of Chris Matthews's one-on-one interview with Kasich on tonight's Hardball. Chris Matthews has already scripted his dream scenario for the post-convention portion of the 2016 presidential race. Hillary Clinton is up 5 to 10 points in the polls and she selects, as a gracious move to prove she's about bringing all Americans together, Gov. John Kasich (R-…
