On Thursday night after Vice President Mike Pence’s 2020 RNC speech, ABC journalists and liberal panelists were less-than-pleased he didn’t forcefully speak out against Sunday’s shooting of Jacob Blake in Kenosha, Wisconsin, condemn armed individuals defending businesses from rioters, and accept responsibility for the size and scope of the coronavirus pandemic.

As the violence engulfed Wisconsin on Wednesday and Republicans continued night three of their convention, journalists on MSNBC did their best to connect the events to the presidential election in November. On ABC, Tom Llamas worried about the “danger” of Wisconsin helping Trump. On MSNBC, far-left host Lawrence O’Donnell saw the shooting as an “outgrowth” of Donald Trump. 

CNN interrupted Wednesday’s Republican National Committee proceedings four times (compared to the ZERO times they interrupted night three of the DNC), and they did it in the most disgusting of ways. Between consistently shoddy co-host Jake Tapper defending violent riots in Kenosha, Wisconsin, and left-wing activist Van Jones calling for a 17-year-old to be beaten up, the network was unhinged.…

After Governor Kristi Noem (R-SD) led off Wednesday’s RNC with a speech hailing the ingeniousness of Founders and imploring Americans to reject lawlessness, MSNBC coverage co-host Rachel Maddow was triggered and felt the need to cut away from the convention to offer “a reality check” seeing as how what Noem said was “very wrong.” And of all the people to call on, Maddow brought in Seattle…

Just after midnight, in the wee hours of Wednesday morning, the riots in Kenosha, Wisconsin turned deadly after a teenager allegedly killed two and injured a third. The protracted incident was an apparent case of self-defense (though he was charged with first-degree intentional homicide), as the teen was fleeing from a mob of violent rioters. If you want a clear example of the unmitigated hypocrisy and sheer partisan hackery of MSNBC, there is no clearer example than the disparity between how the liberal cable channel covered the Democratic National Convention last week and the Republican edition this week. CNN White House correspondent John Harwood joined CNN Newsroom host Kate Bolduan on Wednesday to recap night two of the Republican National Convention where he declared Democrats defenders of revered institutions against a Trumpian Republican Party that has no such reverence for them.

CNN host Brian Stelter appeared on MSNBC a second time to plug his new book Hoax on Tuesday afternoon with Katy Tur. There were no challenging questions, just softballs. Tur mentioned at the end that both of them had the same person editing their anti-Trump books. Isn't that special?

On Morning Joe, a hate-fueled Joe Scarborough slams First Lady Melania Trump as "shameless, absolutely shameless" for having criticized, in her speech at the second night of the RNC convention, people who are mean on social media, while she did not criticize President Trump's past tweets about Mika and Joe.

When it comes to debating the removal of  statues of Confederate generals, it’s clear Associated Press thinks one side doesn’t have “very fine people” on it. AP reporter Sarah Rankin explained the legal tussles over the (now-vandalized) Robert E. Lee statue on Richmond’s Monument Avenue, and only one side was quoted.

Looks like the sore losers at CNN are looking for reasons to get sued again. After former Covington Catholic student Nick Sandmann roasted the media last night at the Republican Convention, CNN analyst Joe Lockhart couldn’t help himself and had to send out a bitter tweet attacking Sandmann.

The conventions have one long-standing trend in media bias: the description of tone. Every Republican convention is dark and divisive and angry and ultraconservative. Every Democrat convention is soothingly centrist and stuffed with "inspirational" speeches.
