Comedian Stephen Colbert is defending Planned Parenthood in the wake of the new GOP health-care plan – and it’s no laughing matter. During Thursday’s The Late Show, host Stephen Colbert criticized the new health-care plan, or, as he called it multiple times, “TrumpCare.”

Justin Trudeau is a liberal woman’s dream. He’s attractive, progressive and a self-proclaimed feminist. What’s not to love? But on International Women’s Day, the Canadian prime minister made feminists across North America really swoon. He pledged to contribute $650 million to women’s health initiatives, including fighting “anti-abortion” legislation across the world.

With all the rallies, protests and marches lately, we’ve been hearing a lot about how unfair society is towards women. CBS’s Life in Pieces hilariously spoofs this agenda when a woman thinks her male mechanic is giving her the runaround.

Following the event, the broadcast networks praised “A Day Without a Woman” for standing up for “women’s rights.” But not once did ABC, CBS or NBC…

Disney chief Bob Iger says there’s no bias at ESPN and ABC News is “extremely fair,” and apparently says it with a straight face. He may even believe it. As the head of a company that believes it appropriate for characters in children’s movies to “explore their sexuality,” Iger’s bound to have a pretty warped perception of things.

For the second time this season, President Kirkman on ABC’s Designated Survivor has been compared to President Ronald Reagan. On Wednesday's episode, "Warriors," Kirkman is recovering from a sniper assassination attempt. After learning both the country and stock market are in a panic, he is determined to restore their confidence and does so by waving to the public from his hospital room window.

The left’s anti-Trump marches won’t stop at the end of March. Following the success of January 21’s Women’s March, the organizers planned March 8’s “Day Without a Woman.” Falling intentionally on International Women’s Day, the day included strikes, abstinence from social media use and spending, and a protest outside of the White House. 

It is impossible to feel lukewarm about Lena Dunham. Like Hillary Clinton, the Girls actress and Lenny Letter co-founder inspires either deep revulsion or fawning acclaim. And that rift even extends to the liberal media world. 

Tinsel Town is taking the “Day Without a Woman” quite seriously. According to a Hollywood Reporter report, many entertainment companies have lent support to the movement by holding events, focusing content on women and encouraging female staffers to take the day off. Meanwhile, celebrities have been tweeting in solidarity.

The title for episode two of Big Little Lies, which aired Sunday, February 26, on HBO, ended up having a much deeper meaning than just competition among some of the mothers to have the most popular children, the best birthday parties, and to be the alpha mother ruling over all other moms at fictional Otter Bay Elementary School set in Monterey, California.

On Tuesday’s episode of Fresh Off the Boat, “Gabby Goose,” the Asian-American sitcom featuring Taiwanese immigrant family the Huangs poked a bit of fun at the use of hyphenated American names during game night at the Huang’s home.

These are the questions the networks refuse to fully address: If abortion is just 3% of Planned Parenthood’s “services,” why doesn’t it stop for the sake of federal funding? Or, if federal funding doesn't go towards abortion, why would the administration halt Planned Parenthood funding? Answers: It isn’t only 3% and money is fungible.
