As network shows begin returning to television for the fall season, CBS’s liberal, TDS-laden “Sitcom King” Chuck Lorre, who we’ve covered extensively, has once again taken shots at President Trump, but this time, he also targeted First Lady Melania Trump and even sunk so low as to mock Robert Kennedy, Jr.’s rare neurological disorder that affects his speech. To his credit, however, he also spoke out against “far left, woke culture.”
As covered by The Hollywood Reporter (THR), Lorre’s remarks were delivered during what should have been a unifying event. He was accepting a founder’s award at Project Angel Food, a charity that delivers meals to those who are unable to shop for groceries or cook for themselves. The Los Angeles headquarters has now been renamed the Chuck Lorre Family Foundation Campus because of the producer’s large financial contributions to the charity.
Not surprisingly, Lorre’s first target was President Trump, who he called a “bloated, orange piece of sh*t.” He then expressed his wish for the president to die, stating, “But because I’m a comedy writer, I have no choice but to explain how I wake up every morning to turn on CNN to see if the President of the United States had a heart attack while straining to take a dump.” Yeah, double ick.
His next jab was at the First Lady:
“I’d love to encourage you to pull out your wallets and contribute to this amazing organization, but my need to cause laughter forces me to question how a country can embrace a smart, educated, warm, funny first lady like Michelle Obama and somehow be OK with a surgically enhanced, cold-hearted Yugoslavian escort who clearly hates her husband.”
Still not funny. But we did enjoy the first half of his next joke:
I’d like to beg the [Democratic National Committee] to run from the suicidal insanity of the far-left woke culture in the coming election, [and] urge them to seek the common sense middle ground that emanates from the hard-working, blue-collar heart and soul of America. You bet I would. But once again, it’s not funny. So, I’ll just point out those hard workers will likely die of measles because Bobby Kennedy told them not to get vaccinated.”
Something tells us that someone who thinks it’s funny to wish death on our president isn’t really interested in seeking “the common sense middle ground.” According to THR, things took an even uglier, darker turn as Lorre then admitted to “preparing” to mock Kennedy’s voice which is negatively affected by his neurological disorder, spasmodic dysphonia:
When Lorre delivered that last punchline, he dropped his tone and made his voice sound as gravelly as possible to poke fun at Robert F. Kennedy Jr., the United States Secretary of Health and Human Services. “I actually practiced that,” Lorre quipped.
He closed his speech with a play on The Serenity Prayer asking, "God, grant me the serenity to no longer give a sh*t about all the stupid people in this country. The courage to say Donald Trump is a Russian asset who traded teenagers with Jeffery Epstein. And the wisdom to end on a cheap laugh."
Call us crazy, but we really don’t think mocking a human being for a neurological disorder they can’t control and using it for comedy fodder is something someone should be proud of. (Didn’t liberals lose their minds when they thought Trump was mocking a reporter’s disability years ago?)
THR apparently recognized the unseemliness of Lorre’s speech too, as they hosted a poll on their site asking, “Do you think Chuck Lorre’s speech at a recent fundraiser went too far or was perfectly appropriate?” At the time of this writing, the results were 40% for “Went too far,” 40% for “Was perfectly appropriate,” 20% for “Somewhere in between,” and 0% for “Other/No opinion.”
It would be nice if the first result was closer to 100%, but considering how liberal THR is, it’s surprising it was even a tie. Let’s hope Lorre goes back to doing sitcoms and keeps his inappropriate political digs, mocking of disabilities and daily death wishes for the president to himself.
If you enjoy torturing yourself with awful "humor," here are a few clips of Lorre's horrible "jokes":
At a recent charity event, @CBS's "Sitcom King" @ChuckLorre1 joked about wishing death on the president every morning he wakes up, called the first lady a "Yugoslavian escort" who hates her husband, and proudly mocked @RobertKennedyJr's neurological speech disorder. pic.twitter.com/I5dOg6vm5f
