CON JOB: Nets Tout Biden 'Scoffing' at Claims He's 'Radical Left' on Rioting

September 1st, 2020 4:29 PM

All it takes is one speech for the compliant liberal media to adopt the official Joe Biden talking points. On Tuesday, ABC’s Good Morning America, CBS This Morning and NBC's Today cheered the Democrat’s “blistering” address in which he “scoffed” and “shrugged off” any complaints that he and his Democratic Party have been soft on riots and violence. Of course, the journalists didn’t offer any skepticism on this. No mention by the media hypocrites that Kamala Harris encouraged donations and Biden staff DONATED money to bail out rioters in Minneapolis.

On CBS This Morning, White House correspondent Ben Tracy hyped, “Back on the campaign trail, former Vice President Joe Biden gave a blistering speech Monday in Pittsburgh.” Tracy dutifully parroted, “He scoffed at the President's claims that Biden is a puppet for the radical left.” The journalist then played a clip of Biden daring anyone to doubt him: “Do I look like a radical socialist with a soft spot for rioters? Really?”

On Good Morning America, senior White House correspondent Cecilia Vega echoed her CBS colleague, credulously repeating the Vice President’s new line: “Now, Democratic rival Joe Biden on the campaign trail and shrugging off the President's accusations that he's a soft-on-crime radical.”

With no skepticism, she promoted:

VEGA: The former Vice President condemning violence at protests and placing the blame on President Trump.

BIDEN: Fires are burning and we have a president who fans the flames.

On NBC’s Today, co-host Hoda Kotb opened the show with Biden’s attempt to get ahead of the rioting:

KOTB: Pointing the finger. Joe Biden takes on President Trump over that outbreak of violence in cities across the U.S., saying the current resident of the Oval Office shoulders the blame.

BIDEN: These are not images of some imagined Joe Biden of the future. These are images of Donald Trump's America today.

No mention of the fact that Biden campaign staff contributed money to a Minneapolis fund that bailed out rioters:

In June, Harris advocated for the public to fund bail for arrested suspects implicated in the George Floyd riots in Minneapolis.

"If you’re able to, chip in now to the @MNFreedomFund to help post bail for those protesting on the ground in Minnesota," Harris had tweeted at the beginning of that month.

The Minnesota Freedom Fund (MFF) has bailed out defendants from Twin Cities jails charged with murder, violent felonies, and sex crimes, FOX 9 reported.

CECILIA VEGA: With the election now just 63 days away President Trump leaning in to his law and order message zeroing in on the unrest in Portland declining to condemn a caravan of his supporters demanding racial justice, witnesses say some of those supporters fired paint ball guns at demonstrators.

DONALD TRUMP: Paint is a defensive mechanism.

VEGA: But later in the evening this, shooting turning deadly. Police identifying the victim as 39-year-old Aaron Danielson of Portland, seen wearing a blue lives matter flag and hat belonging to a right-wing group. Now, Democratic rival Joe Biden on the campaign trail and shrugging off the President's accusations that he's a soft-on-crime radical.

JOE BIDEN: Do I look like a radical socialist with a soft spot for rioters? Really? I want a safe America, safe from COVID. Safe from crime and looting. Safe from racially motivated violence. Safe from bad cops. Let me be crystal clear: Safe from four more years of Donald Trump.

VEGA: The former vice president condemning violence at protests and placing the blame on President Trump.

BIDEN: Fires are burning and we have a president who fans the flames.
