Syndicated columnist and longtime ABC This Week staple George Will has just been hired by Fox News.
The Wall Street Journal reported moments ago:
FOX News Channel (FNC) has hired political columnist and author George Will as a contributor, announced Michael Clemente, Executive Vice President of News. In this role, he will offer analysis and commentary across FNC's daytime and primetime programming, including on the panels of Special Report with Bret Baier and FOX News Sunday.
In making the announcement Clemente said, "We are delighted to have someone of George's stature join FOX News. His wisdom is enduring and his achievements are far too long to list."
NewsBusters readers know Will as the oftentimes lone conservative voice on ABC's This Week where he was one of the initial panelists alongside host David Brinkley as well as the perilously liberal Sam Donaldson and Cokie Roberts beginning in 1981.
In said role, Will has regularly entertained conservatives by smacking down liberals.
