On this episode of the NewsBusters Podcast, associate editor Nick “Night Train” Fondacaro and managing editor Curtis Houck discuss the Cackling Coven of The View returning for their 26 ^th season on ABC “News.” In only two episodes this week, the cast proved they’re as ignorant and partisan as ever, with Whoopi Goldberg cursing out Republicans and defending Democratic denials that former President Trump won the 2016 election.

Teasing the new season on Monday, “conservative” co-host Alyssa Farah Griffin claimed the cast aimed to “elevate the discourse.” But in their first episode on Tuesday, Goldberg curses out Republicans and opponents of President Biden’s legally dubious student loan bailout.

Sunny Hostin has been on a tear; first whining about having to pay back the student loans she took out to study in Europe and then suggesting upwards of 70 percent of the Republican Party was “fascist” MAGA extremists, “white supremacists,” and “racists.”

And their Wednesday show featured Goldberg defending White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre’s denial that Trump won in 2016. Goldberg suggested Jean-Pierre was just “doing her part as an American citizen saying how she felt about an election.” What is this, Starship Troopers?
