CNN boss Jeff Zucker must have had a pretty serious sit down with Prime Time host Chris “Fredo” Cuomo after he bucked the network and gave air time Tuesday night to calls for General Mark Milley to resign. Because on Wednesday, Fredo did a 180 flip and was roid-raging against anyone in the Republican Party calling out Milley's traitorous behavior by promising China to warn them of an attack. Ignoring that fact, he demanded to know “what did he do wrong?”
On Tuesday, he brought on anti-Trumper Alexander Vindman to talk about how terrible Milley’s actions were and highlighted a tweet from the retired Army Lieutenant Colonel calling for the General to resign. But a mere 19 seconds into his Wednesday show, Cuomo warned his dwindling viewers to “beware the people calling for Milley's head.”
Fredo accused them of “distracting from the real headline from this book. Confirmation for how out of control President Trump was. That many knew perhaps including those calling for Milley's head. They knew what was going on with Trump.”
Talk about a memory hole.
He then added: “And there are real questions about why Rubio and others never spoke about Trump the way they are talking about the man who protected the democracy from him.”
After repeating “no going rogue” and going over claims from the Department of Defense and Milley’s office suggesting the calls and his meeting on nukes were above board, Fredo was rhetorically drooling with hatred for Republicans.
“Now, those are material facts that greatly change the contextual concerns that we had. Does it change anything for Cruz or Paul or Josh Hawley? Remember January 6, fist pump fame, right? ‘I always wave to people,’” he sneered as he played a soundbite of Missouri Senator Josh Hawley (R) calling for Milley to resign.
“What did he do wrong?! What did he do wrong?! Articulate it now, legal genius,” Fredo shouted at the camera.
In reality, Fredo wasn’t a “legal genius” himself despite attending law school. As NewsBusters has documented over recent years, he’s been smacked down multiple times on his own show by former Attorney General Michael Mukasey, who had to school him on basic legal principles and understanding.
Cuomo then lashed out at Rubio for calling out Milley for committing treason:
CUOMO: Does Marco Rubio want to take back his letter to Biden now? The Senator immediately jumped to conclusions calling Milley treasonous and also calling for his firing.
RUBIO: I think he told them this wasn't normal. I had to do this for the good of our country because he wanted to make himself look good. [Transition] This is a constitutional violation. It’s a violation of his oath of the Constitution, but it also is treacherous.
Following the Rubio clip, he falsely claimed Rubio had recorded his comments “while driving.” Rubio clearly wasn’t, trees were visible through the rear window and nothing was moving. “Maybe you shouldn't form your positions while driving. Maybe you should like not just pull over to video, maybe you should just think and get all the facts,” he hypocritically sneered.
He then went on a bizarre and creepy screed about Rubio climbing inside “the womb of Fox [News]” to have his “frenzies incubated.” “There is no shame in their game. Rubio won’t come here to make the case. He doesn’t want to deal with these facts. He wants to stay in the womb where it's warm and safe,” he proclaimed.
Cuomo’s fanatically pro-abortion, so who knows what he’s getting at. This is CNN.

CNN’s Cuomo Prime Time

9:00:16 p.m. EasternCHRIS CUOMO: Got a BOLO. Be on the lookout. You need to beware the people calling for Milley's head. One, they're distracting from the real headline from this book. Confirmation for how out of control President Trump was. That many knew perhaps including those calling for Milley's head. They knew what was going on with Trump.
And there are real questions about why Rubio and others never spoke about Trump the way they are talking about the man who protected the democracy from him.
Second, even if you do want to keep the spotlight on Milley – and accountability and transparency are key, we don’t get enough of it – you now need to add another key fact that they are ignoring. Milley did what he did with the consent of Trump's secretary of defense, Mark Esper. So much for Milley going rogue.

CUOMO: No going rogue. And this comes directly from the General's office. “All calls came from the chairman to his counterparts including those reported were staffed, coordinated and communicated with the Department of Defense and the interagency. The meeting regarding nuclear weapons protocols was to remind uniformed leaders in the Pentagon of long established and robust procedures in light of media reporting on the subject.”
Now, those are material facts that greatly change the contextual concerns that we had. Does it change anything for Cruz or Paul or Josh Hawley? Remember January 6, fist pump fame, right? “I always wave to people.” Listen.
SEN. JOSH HAWLEY (R-MO): I hope these reports are inaccurate, but he does need to resign. He needs to resign. And if he won't resign, he needs to be fired.
CUOMO: Even if he did it with the secretary of defense and 15 people on the call and followed all the protocols? What did he do wrong? What did he do wrong? Articulate it now legal genius.
Does Marco Rubio want to take back his letter to Biden now? The Senator immediately jumped to conclusions calling Milley treasonous and also calling for his firing.
SEN. MARO RUBIO (R-FL): I think he told them this wasn't normal. I had to do this for the good of our country because he wanted to make himself look good. [Transition] This is a constitutional violation. It’s a violation of his oath of the Constitution, but it also is treacherous.
CUOMO: Maybe you shouldn't form your positions while driving. Maybe you should like not just pull over to video, maybe you should just think and get all the facts and not just go over the womb of Fox to have your frenzies incubated.
There is no shame in their game. Rubio won’t come here to make the case. He doesn’t want to deal with these facts. He wants to stay in the womb where it's warm and safe.
