It has become a passion of MSNBC host Lawrence O’Donnell to obsess over the mind of Donald Trump. The Last Word host brought on notorious Trump Hater Dr. Lance Dodes, who proclaimed the President as a sadist and psychopath.
The frequent MSNBC guest elaborated on his claims about Trump:
There is a name for that. It's called sadism, which is defined by having pleasure from suffering of others, from their pain or from their humiliation. And if you are the one causing that suffering, that’s all the more pleasure in it. So the fact that Donald Trump is a sadist is completely consistent with everything else we know about him, and it’s consistent with his being a psychopathic.
It is incredibly disgusting for MSNBC to allow someone on their network to frequently slander the President with ridiculous claims that cannot be proven to be true. Last week, Dodes deemed Trump “a killer” “like Hitler or Stalin,” and a week later called him “psychopathic” and a “sadist.” Dodes’ recurrent anti-Trump hatred says a lot more about him than it does about Trump.
O’Donnell’s devotion to the new book put out by the President’s niece sparked more hateful rhetoric towards the President:
O’DONNELL: There is another line I'd like your view of where Mary Trump said that what Donald
Trump and his brother learned from their father, is that admitting a mistake would be admitting weakness, which in my family was essentially punished with the death penalty symbolically or otherwise. Your reaction to that.
DODES: I think that's exactly right also. There is a term in my field called soul murderer, which describes the name kind of symbolic death. You can destroy somebody, especially a small child, by treating him or her with a humiliating disdain or physically abusing them. And that is who Donald Trump is.
Dodes’ insane assumptions about the President should not be trusted, since he is only put on as a guest to give credibility to the heinous statements that O’Donnell says about the President on a nightly basis. Him calling the President a soul murderer is absurd, and his characterization of how Trump behaves proves his gross incompetence.
O’Donnell decided to bring in the President’s sons, and characterized them the same way he characterized their father:

MSNBC’s hatred isn’t just focused on the President, rather his entire family with the exception of Mary Trump. One thing O’Donnell could have mentioned, but didn’t: Of course Mary Trump’s book bashes the President. Of course, O’Donnell and Dodes love it. Mary Trump is a longtime Democratic donor. What would you expect her to say?

LAWRENCE O’DONNELL: What is your reaction to what we just heard Mary Trump saying about what Donald Trump experiences in his lying?
DR. LANCE DODES (PSYCHIATRIST): I think that's absolutely right. There is a name for that. It's called sadism, which is defined by having pleasure from suffering of others, from their pain or from their humiliation. And if you are the one causing that suffering, that’s all the more pleasure in it. So the fact that Donald Trump is a sadist is completely consistent with everything else we know about him, and it’s consistent with his being a psychopathic. It’s one of the kind of monstrous things about being a psychopath is that there’s enjoyment at being vindictive at destroying those [inaudible] enemies. And if you are also as paranoid as he is, almost everybody is your enemy unless the person is worshipping you.
O’DONNELL: I want to get your view of something Mary Trump said when she was explaining why she didn't come forward four years ago. And she talked about what she called about the concept of learned helplessness. She said “the concept of learned helplessness is something that runs very deep in my family.”
DODES: You know, I'm sure that's true. That is—from what she had described, Trump's father was also a cruel, sadistic, racist, probably psychopathic man. So growing up with such a person, you learn to either be a victim or you learn to be a victimizer. And Trump, unlike his brother, I gather, Trump became the victimizer. Trump followed in his father's footsteps and became the same sadistic, tyrannical, cruel person that his father was. So it’s the kind of response to helplessness. If your choices are you have to be the victim or you have to be the victimizer, you chose the victimizer if you are that sort of person, a person without morals.
O’DONNELL: There is another line I'd like your view of where Mary Trump said that what Donald

The point that was made earlier that he can't admit mistakes is absolutely true. But is it even deeper than that is that in order to be able to admit your mistakes, you have to care about the results of what you have done, of the mistake. But he doesn't care. The deaths of tens of thousands of Americans, the highest number I understand today and it's a new record, it really doesn't matter to him. It is hard to believe that, but it's absolutely true. So if you don't care, then there is even less reason to admit a mistake because what difference does it make to you? It doesn't hurt you.

DODES: Absolutely. To have been out of that horrible, chaotic, emotionally chaotic situation, [inaudible] or die, or become the victim, the victimizer I’m sorry, the kind of Stockholm syndrome to identify with the person who victimizing you, yeah to be out of that, that's great. I agree it’s completely different from the rest of the Trump family; to the extent whatever the legal findings where about whether the Trump Organization is a criminal organization, I don't know. But whatever they are going to find out just with the way it's dealt with inside the family, which was a corrupt and deeply ill set of relationships.
