President Trump today delivered a moving, meaningful speech on the 75th anniversary of D-Day. Even so, you might have expected Morning Joe—in the business for years now of trashing Trump—to have nit-picked the address.
But no! There was surprising, strong, unanimous praise for the speech among Joe Scarborough, Mika Brzezinski, and Willie Geist.
Here is the transcript featuring their praise:

Morning Joe
6/6/19
6:33 am EDTPRESIDENT TRUMP: May God bless our great veterans. May God bless our allies. May God bless the heroes of D-Day, and may God bless America.
JOE SCARBOROUGH: President Donald J. Trump delivering at least what I believe to be his most powerful speech that he's given as President of the United States.
. . .
MIKA BRZEZINSKI: Trump's speech itself was very good and measured up to the moment. And really was a true salute to the unity of this day, and he spoke about, not only the sacrifices that were made, but our allies, and the importance of unity. It was a really good speech.
SCARBOROUGH: It did measure up to the moment as you said . . . There will be headlines from this speech, and certainly, across Europe at least, among our allies, they will be positive headlines.
. . .
WILLIE GEIST: I totally agree with both of you. I thought it was a terrific speech. I thought he did a great job telling the story of D-Day through the men and women that were sitting there behind him.
. . .
SCARBOROUGH: Let us hope that tweets do not follow. [laughter]
BRZEZINSKI: Let the moment breathe!
As noted, Scarborough couldn't resist taking a small shot: "let us hope that tweets do not follow." Added Mika: "let the moment breathe."
