Well, it turns out we were right when, a year ago to the day in our 2023 most-read blogs list, we said
“2024 is bound to be not only one of the most monumental years in American history” and “among the most chaotic.”

In 2024, you, our loyal NewsBusters readers, ate up our studies showing the liberal media’s propaganda campaign to save the Biden presidency then Harris’s candidacy and bury any chance of a Trump victory.

For reading those blockbuster studies, our blogs on the day-to-day bias, and supporting our work financially, we’re blessed beyond measure to play a small role in telling the story of America.

We state this every year, but we’re cognizant of how busy many of you are and the growing number of websites to visit in your limited time, so anytime spent on NewsBusters.org is something we don’t take lightly and in turn strive to bring you the highest quality content you won’t find anywhere else.

  1. August 14: EXCLUSIVE MRC POLL: Most Dem Voters Don’t Know About Harris’s Radicalism

Our runaway winner for most-read story at NewsBusters goes to Rich Noyes for an August blockbuster detailing the findings of a Media Research Center poll which asked Biden voters about ten past policy positions Vice President Kamala Harris has held in her career.

Noyes shared the stunning revelation that over 70 percent of likely Harris voters were unaware of her views on everything from the Green New Deal to health care to voting rights for those on death row.

Topping the poll was 86 percent of Biden voters saying they didn’t know Harris told a CNN audience in 2019 that she supported having a discussion about allowing death row inmates (such as the Boston bomber) to vote. In second place, we found 81 percent didn’t realize she has previously supported the elimination of private health insurance.

  1. June 24: CNN Could Be Forced to Pay Upwards of $1 Billion from Defamation Suit from Tapper Show

This year, the intrepid Nick Fondacaro added a new beat to his portfolio with unrivaled original reporting on a potentially devastating hit to CNN’s wobbly finances. In June, Fondacaro was made aware of a defamation suit filed by special forces veteran Zachary Young against CNN for a November 11, 2021 segment on The Lead with Jake Tapper claiming Young “allegedly defamed him regarding his work in getting people out of Afghanistan.”

Since Fondacaro began reporting it out this past summer, CNN has failed to achieve any sort of settlement and, for lack of a better term, had its butt kicked in one legal showdown after another.

Stay tuned to NewsBusters starting a week from today for Fondacaro’s on-the-ground coverage from the Florida panhandle where the civil trial will get underway.

  1. July 25: FLASHBACK: The Media’s Most Outrageous Olympic Outbursts

A day before the 2024 Summer Olympics began in Paris, France, Director of Media Analysis Geoffrey Dickens took readers down memory lane to remind them of how the liberal media have often used the Olympics to peddle anti-American smears.

From cheering the Chinese Communist Party’s “big government planning” ahead of the 2008 summer games to fawning over North Korean dictator Kim Jong-un’s sister at the 2018 Winter games to even 1994 providing a chance to fawn over European-style socialism, the liberal media can never help themselves but make sports political.

  1. July 11: BIDEN BORDER CRISIS: 7 New Illegal Immigrant Crimes ABC, CBS, NBC Are Burying

Dickens’s second-straight appearance on the top-ten list showcased seven brutal violent crimes committed by illegal immigrants the “Big Three” of ABC, CBS, and NBC skipped from their flagship morning and evening newscasts.

Unfortunately, this was only one of three stories Dickens filed in 2024 about the lack of network news attention for assaults, rapes, and murders of innocent Americans. For this particular post, Dickens shared with us alleged murders by illegal aliens in Colorado, Maryland, Texas, and Utah. In New York, one illegal alien allegedly raped a 15-year-old in May despite having been arrested by border officials seven months earlier.

  1. June 11: STUDY: Kinder, Gentler Coverage for Hunter Biden’s Criminal Trial

In June towards the end of Hunter Biden’s gun trial in Delaware (which he would be found guilty in but pardoned months later by his father), Noyes did a deep dive of the coverage on the flagship evening newscasts of ABC, CBS, and NBC and compared how this was treated to the Trump hush money trial.

Among his findings, Noyes revealed “nearly half of all references to Hunter’s case (47%) omitted” labels of the First Son’s trial being a “criminal” or “felony case,” “ABC never mentioned…the host of other legal issues” Hunter faced, and the three combined for “just 40 seconds talking about Hunter’s laptop, and never acknowledged that they had falsely suggested the laptop was part of a ‘Russian disinformation campaign’ four years ago.”

  1. October 28: TV Hits Trump With 85% Negative News vs. 78% Positive Press for Harris

Just prior to Halloween, Noyes released the final installment of his blockbuster positive-negative network evening newscast studies on the 2024 presidential campaign with 85 percent negative coverage for Donald Trump and 78 percent positive attention towards Vice President Kamala Harris.

Noyes explained that this split was “far greater than in 2016, when both Trump and then-challenger Hillary Clinton received mostly negative coverage (91% negative for Trump, vs. 79% negative for Clinton) and “even…2020, when Joe Biden was treated to 66 percent positive coverage, vs. 92 percent negative for Trump.”

This split was made possible thanks to a mammoth 230 minutes on “an array of personal controversies surrounding the former President, yet provided extremely light coverage or altogether ignored many controversies involving Vice President Harris.”

  1. June 30: Brent Bozell on 'Life Liberty & Levin': Media's Lying About Biden's Brain Exposed

Media Research Center Founder and President Brent Bozell came lock and loaded on the June 30 edition of the Fox News Channel’s Life, Liberty, & Levin to sound off on the fate-altering presidential debate three days earlier.

Host Mark Levin said there was “no better guest” to break it all down and Bozell certainly made it count. As our NB Staff post detailed, Bozell argued this was the collapse of not only the Biden presidency, but the legacy liberal media’s credibility:

As you saw the debate in progress, you sensed that the left was collapsing in shock at what they were looking at. But where conservatives were concerned, conservatives were just pointing at this and saying, this is what we've been saying all about this man. He's old, he's feeble, he's falling apart, and he shouldn't be president and leader of the free world. The media are now in a panic because everything they thought about him, everything that we're saying about him was false.

  1. July 17: Media Avoid the Selfish Reason Democrats Desperately Want Biden to Drop Out

Ahead of President Biden dropping his reelection bid on July 20, our Alex Christy took notice of something missing from the network segments devoting to the calls for Biden to quit:

Some liberals in the media have tried to spin the debate amongst Democrats in a positive light, claiming that it shows that Democrats have debates and aren’t slavishly devoted to their leader, unlike Republicans.

However, many of them are only doing so for a selfish reason: because they are worried he will lose to Donald Trump, and could cause down-ballot losses. It's not because he is incapable of running the country. In fact, several have promised to support Biden even if he does not withdraw.

Indeed, of the 20 Democrats urging Biden to go, all 20 have mentioned the supposed threat Trump poses to the nation or the high stakes in November.

  1. September 9: 100%! ABC Debate Moderator David Muir Hosts Most Pro-Harris, Left-Wing Newscast

Noyes and the NewsBusters team have doled out more than our respective fair shares of jaw-dropping study findings, but this one might be the cream of the crop.

Ahead of the disastrous ABC presidential debate between World News Tonight anchor David Muir and ABC News Live host Linsey Davis, Noyes revealed Harris coverage on Muir’s top-rated newscast beget exclusively positive statements about the Vice President for an astonishing 100 percent data point.

For Trump, Noyes found only five positive evaluative statements compared to 66 in the negative.

  1. July 23: EXCLUSIVE: CNN Journo Admits No Evidence of Criminality in Defamation Deposition

Fondacaro closed out our top-ten list of 2024’s most-read stories with another blockbuster from his reporting on the CNN/Afghanistan defamation suit in which, according to his exclusive obtainment of “an unredacted partial transcript from the deposition of CNN correspondent Alex Marquardt connected to the case” in which “he seemingly admitted there was no evidence of criminality on behalf of Young, despite claiming there was in his allegedly defamatory report on The Lead with Jake Tapper.”
