Appearing as a panel member on Sunday's AM Joy on MSNBC, liberal comedian and Daily Beast columnist Dean Obeidallah injected lame comedy into the show's final segment as he cracked that, in the week ahead, Donald Trump might pick David Duke as a Supreme Court justice or someone who "hates the environment" for EPA administrator.
Host Joy Reid ended the show by asking her guests for predictions about what the "headline" about the Trump transition team would likely be in the upcoming week. When she got to Obeidallah, he began by joking about having a Muslim leading the Homeland Security Department upsetting Breitbart and Fox News:
I think Trump's going to try to make up everything for the Muslim community and pick a Muslim for the head of the Department of Homeland Security just to freak out Breitbart. No, it's never going to happen.
As Reid injected, "That is not going to happen!" he added: "That would be great just to watch Breitbart explode. How much fun would that -- and Fox News as well."
He then turned to deriding former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani before then trying to tie former KKK leader David Duke to Trump as he continued:
Maybe someone like Giuliani for head of Homeland Security, a guy who's called Black Lives Matter "un-American" and "racist." Maybe someone to head the EPA who hates the environment. He's already picked an Education person. Maybe as Supreme Court payback, David Duke for justice.
