17 MONTHS LATER: Univision Admits Existence of Hunter Biden Laptop

April 1st, 2022 12:51 PM

Tucked into the final block of Univision's evening news on Thursday, anchor Jorge Ramos finally admitted the existence of the infamous Hunter Biden laptop, albeit spinning The Washington Post's confirmation of incriminating emails of Hunter's dealing with China — and Ukraine — as “Republican disinformation, according to Democrats.”

The 17-month delay comes only after WashPost –along with The New York Times — cleared the way for Univision to publish the SAME story without having to touch Big Tech's censorship of The New York Post when they originally reported the story in October of 2020.

Nevertheless, the Univision report did provide viewers with valuable information. Mainly, that Hunter Biden did work with a firm affiliated with the communist Chinese regime, and they did show the Burisma logo while mentioning “his ties to a Ukrainian firm” (although omitting any mention of the firm by name).

Watch Ramos and Washington correspondent Claudia Uceda spin the Hunter Biden investigation, not before ending the report with their number one archenemy:

RAMOS: The Washington Post obtained thousands of communications from a laptop that belonged to Hunter Biden, President Biden's youngest son. Republicans say it contains data from Hunter Biden with a company linked to the Chinese regime. Some Democrats argue that it is pure misinformation.

(....)

CLAUDIA UCEDA:  A short time ago former president Trump, without evidence, suggested that Hunter Biden did business in Russia…

DONALD TRUMP: Putin would know the answer to that, I think…

UCEDA… and he asked Vladimir Putin to release any damaging information. To which the White House responded: What kind of American thinks that this is the right time to enter into a scheme with Putin?

Univision seems unable to speak about Hunter Biden's alleged corruption without bringing Donald Trump into the equation, as MRC reported earlier this week. In addition, they also made sure to protect their corporate interests by emphasizing that "Hunter Biden has not been charged with a crime to date", and that "President Biden is not under investigation."

By duct-taping the Trump angle to the report, Uceda attempted to divert the attention from the one person under FBI investigation: the youngest son of the President of the United States. Nice try but sorry, never underestimate your audience.

JORGE RAMOS: The Washington Post obtained thousands of communications from a laptop that belonged to Hunter Biden, President Biden’s youngest son. Republicans say that it contains data from Hunter Biden with a firm with ties to the Chinese regime. Some Democrats say that this is pure disinformation. But as Claudia Uceda reports, two federal agencies are investigating.

CLAUDIA UCEDA: What began as an investigation over Hunter Biden’s taxes has expanded into an investigation by both the FBI and the Internal Revenue Service. They are investigating whether the President’s youngest son and associates violated money laundering, tax, and foreign lobbying laws. Hunter Biden has not been charged with a crime to date, but that could change.

NELSON RODRIGUEZ VELA: That is highly likely to happen, although there is criticism based on political issues.

UCEDA: Documents published by Republicans show financial transactions between Hunter Biden and a Chinese energy firm. His ties to a Ukrainian energy firm are also under investigation. In 2017, the year that Joe Biden left the vice presidency, the Chinese firm signed a contract with Hunter Biden worth 1 million dollars, for legal services.

RODRIGUEZ VELA: The important part there is not necessarily that he didn’t file his taxes or perhaps committed money laundering, but the influence trafficking that could be inferred as a result of these contracts with his father when he was vice president.

UCEDA: President Biden is not under investigation.

EMILIO VIANO: I believe that President Biden is going to keep his word and not intervene.

UCEDA: Hunter Biden said last year that he was cooperating and that he is confident that he will emerge guilt-free. However, the number of witnesses being interrogated continues to increase. A short time ago former president Trump, without evidence, suggested that Hunter Biden did business in Russia —

DONALD TRUMP: Putin would know the answer to that, I think…

UCEDA: — and he asked Vladimir Putin to release any damaging information. To which the White House responded: What kind of American thinks that this is the right time to enter into a scheme with Putin? In Washington: Claudia Uceda, Univision.
