Despite being a leftist, Mexican president Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador has never been a favorite of the nation’s liberal Spanish-speaking press. His refusal to recognize Joe Biden as President-Elect of the United States is ruffling feathers there once again.
Since Day One, the likes of Univision anchor Jorge Ramos and his colleagues at Telemundo, CNN En Español and Estrella TV cannot phantom AMLO's support of President Trump's immigration policies; the same goes for his visit to the White House to celebrate the enactment of the United States-Mexico-Canada Agreement (USMCA), his refusal to join them in their Trump Derangement Syndrome, and now, the fact that, as Univision's Satcha Pretto states, “The Mexican president has said he will wait for the legal processes around the election to be resolved.”
At MRC Latino, we compiled this video featuring the “shocked” anchors and correspondents at Univision, Telemundo and CNN En Español who put their network's interests above and beyond unbiased information. Press on "expand" to view the transcript:
