BOO! Spanish Nets Resort To Fear In Desperate DACA Defense

October 21st, 2019 11:59 AM

Just in time for Halloween, the nation ́s Spanish-speaking news media seemingly agreed to put a scary spin on the latest developments in the DACA saga. The words “fear” and “scared” are liberally sprinkled throughout DACA coverage, in order to frighten so-called “Dreamers” into action regarding their status.

A spooky proposition to say the least, considering that, as Telemundo reported, only 27% of the estimated 157,000 dreamers whose status expires in January 2020 have renewed their permits.

Daytime and primetime news and talk shows at CNN en Español, Telemundo, Univision and Estrella TV were singing from the same hymnal, if the news reports as spoken by reporters, activists and DACA recipients were any indication. It should be noted that not one of the following reports included the views of government officials, conservative spokespersons or “experts” other than liberal activists.

Watch as the fearmongering liberal talking points floated about the Latino news airwaves like lingering ghosts:

CHIQUIS RIVERA, HOST, UN NUEVO DIA, TELEMUNDO: This is important because many of them had not renewed out of fear.

(....)

JAIME GARCÍA, CORRESPONDENT, UNIVISIÓN: Overcoming fear, Irvin Lopez started the paperwork for the renewal of his work permit

IRVIN LOPEZ, DREAMER: I am scared.

(....)

ISABEL MORALES, CORRESPONDENT, CNN EN ESPAÑOL: Éver Guardado is scared.

(....)

CRISTINA LONDOÑO, CORRESPONDENT TELEMUNDO: Alexandra´s family is anguished.

ALEXANDRA: My mother is like scared.

CRISTINA: It is a fear shared among tens of thousands.

CLAUDIA FLORES, ACTIVIST: The fear is that the youngsters take too long.

(....)

ADRIANA YAÑEZ, ANCHOR ESTRELLA TV: The government of Donald Trump continues to create a climate of unease, fear.

As MRC Latino recently reported, Univision – and all of the nation´s liberal Hispanic media for that matter – will go to any length to restrict the White House’s ability to undo an executive order of a previous administration via executive order regarding the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA), for which the Supreme Court has scheduled a hearing next November 12.

While the date nears, you can expect more spooky blabber at the nation´s Latino nets, who prefer to stick to inane antics like sowing fear among their viewership as opposed to reporting actual news.
