The liberal Hollywood Avengers have assembled to defeat the evil Donald Trump!

On September 21, The Hollywood Reporter described how Avengers director Joss Whedon founded “Save the Day,” a pro-Hillary Clinton super PAC. He donated $1 million to her campaign and is creating a series of online, “star-studded” comedy videos to combat low voter turnout among potential Clinton supporters, such as black men and Millennials. The plan is to produce 15 to 25 videos by the end of the election.

Whedon commented, "It's not about attacking because Donny's real good at attacking himself…It’s about getting people to vote, because it’s frightening the apathy that people are treating the most crucial election of their lifetimes with.” Four years ago, Whedon also warned about a Mitt Romney presidency leading to a “nightmare zombie wasteland.”

Speaking of zombies, liberal Hollywood director Whedon has never been shy about pushing his political agenda. Whedon lamented that he had to cut the socialist rant he had written for Captain America out of the first Avengers movie. Rich and white Whedon also proclaimed that “rich, white people are fucking insane” while talking about the show “Another Period,” and he has expressed a desire to censor climate change deniers.

His opening video for Save the Day, launched September 21, is called “Important.” The video aims to encourage voter registration, voter turnout, and voting in both national and local elections. It stars typical Hollywood lefties such as Julianne Moore, Mark Ruffalo, and Martin Sheen. It must be nice for Clinton to have her own Avengers team in Hollywood.

“Important” takes the form of a traditional campaign ad, showing numerous Hollywood celebrities all repeating the message to register and vote against Trump. “You only get this many famous people together if the issue’s one that truly matters to all of us,” they say. They then go on to compare the election to fighting a disease, an ecological crisis, or a “racist, abusive coward who could permanently damage the fabric of our society.” Forget about Hitler, Trump is worse than Ultron. “Do we want to give nukes to a man whose signature move is firing things?” they ask, alluding to Trump’s TV Series “The Apprentice.”

Celebrities including Robert Downey Jr., Scarlett Johansson, and Neil Patrick Harris urged everyone to “end this nightmare before it begins” and “save the day for our children, communities, for America.”

Demonstrating that not all heroes wear capes, the cast also managed to make a few mentions of immigration, “common sense gun laws,” and the Supreme Court. At the end, the celebrities joke that if enough people register and stop Trump… Mark Ruffalo will do a nude scene in his next movie.

If Clinton wins, Whedon plans to set aside “Save the Day” and continue with his screenplay. If Trump wins? “I’ll tell you what you don’t do,” he said, “You don’t move to Canada or any of that bullshit. You don’t give up on the world.”

The good news is that the video of Earth’s Mightiest Heroes was full of diversity. But by diversity of course, I mean a bunch of people with different skin colors and sexual orientations who all hold the exact same beliefs.
