We're on the Wednesday a week after the Election Day, and the liberal media still won't proclaim the House is going Republican. As of Wednesday afternoon, they were still stuck on 217. Six of the nine outstanding races are in California, which has an obvious competence issue.

President Biden held a press conference  at the White House after the midterms, and some reporters unloaded diatribes about Biden's agenda being ruined and "affirmative action" taking a severe hit. CNN asked about the return of decency and civility, as if Biden or CNN was civil to Republicans on a daily basis.

The historical averages suggested a "red wave" of some size in the 2022 midterms. But the media's Election Night routine was slightly blander when there was no obvious tilt toward Republicans, but instead a tilt toward all incumbents. We had no cries of "whitelash" or talk of voters throwing two-year-old temper tantrums.

ABC's Jonathan Karl pummeled Gov. Glenn Youngkin on Sunday with questions signaling his loathing of Republican plans to hold oversight hearings into the Bidens and perhaps prepare impeachments for Biden or his cabinet secretaries. They spent all of 2022 adoring Democrat investigations, and now they flip-flop!

The network medical dramas have sunk into melodramatic propaganda in the week before the elections, on both NBC's New Amsterdam and ABC's Grey's Anatomy. Both railed against the overturning of Roe v. Social-media networks are a hot topic going into the midterms. Leftists are losing their minds over Elon Musk's takeover of Twitter. On MSNBC, Lincoln Project adviser Tara Setmayer called Musk a "child," said he's "Immature," he has "daddy issues." She can't imagine why a single advertiser would stay.

Herschel Walker is demonstrating once again that our liberal media despise black Republicans. The network shows leaped on a second anonymous woman claiming Walker paid for her abortion. It's a weird take, since they love abortions and don't think they're scandalous, unless a Republican pays for one. They suggest minority Republicans can't truly be minorities unless they're fully Democrat.

The one and only debate between Pennsylvania's U.S. Senate candidates was a debacle for Democrat John Fetterman. But the post-debate coverage lauded Fetterman's "courage," downplayed his disabilities (or made them a virtue), and hammered Republican Mehmet Oz for his allegedly "heinous" remarks in favor of making abortion legislation up to the states.

The ABC and NBC Sunday shows expressed disgust at Republican "election denier" Kari Lake running for governor of Arizona. When ABC's Jon Karl pressed her on being Trump's running mate in 2024, she said she's staying home in Arizona to be "the fake news's worst nightmare." 

MSNBC host Joy Reid is one of those talk show hosts who cannot be accused of caring about the truth. She wildly attacks conservatives and Republicans in the most obviously false ways. 

Whether it's in the midterm debates or the forthcoming Republican presidential debates, conservative and Republican voters should never have to accept "moderators" that debate with Republicans or toss gentle softballs to Democrats. Moderators should work hard to appear neutral and not make Republicans debate two Democrats.

The final pre-election hearing of the Pelosi-picked January 6 Committee was overtly designed as midterm messaging for the Democrats -- including in fundraising emails. The media coverage suggests one party is in favor of democracy, and the other one is a mortal threat to democracy. We discuss the patterns with NewsBusters Managing Editor Curtis Houck.
