It is not just the hosts that make the late night comedy shows another part of the liberal media. It is also their guests. Throughout 2024, the late night shows’ guests slanted heavily left and provided plenty of outrageous moments, but, first a more humorous honorable mention.

New York Times reporter and censorship supporter Steven Lee Myers’ “news analysis” led Thursday’s front page: “Voters Strain Under Deluge Of Untruths -- Disinformation Climbs to a Sordid New Peak.” And who’s responsible? The Russians, Donald Trump, Elon Musk, and Republicans in general. Myers blamed Musk for helping spread false claims from Russia about Gov. Tim Walz.

Bill Adair, Duke University journalism professor and founder of the “fact-checking” site PolitiFact, indulged his warped scales with a sympathetic host on tax-funded PBS, sending out a fair-and-balanced message: Republicans love to lie! Adair: "[Democrats] feel shame in ways that I'm afraid too many politicians on the right do not…."

If journalism professor and PolitiFact founder Bill Adair meant to increase faith in the fact-checking industry with his appearance on Comedy Central’s The Daily Show, he failed miserably. Adair told host Jon Stewart on Monday that the reason why Republicans get fact-checked more is because “lying... has just become a culture” in conservative circles.
