While guest hosting Alex Wagner Tonight on Friday, MSNBC’s Ali Velshi teamed up with The 1619 Project’s Nikole Hannah-Jones to accuse former Harvard President Claudine Gay’s critics of not caring about anti-Semitism or plagiarism, but for opposing racial progress and black people in positions of power.

For her Tuesday show, CNN NewsNight host Abby Phillip welcomed 1619 Project founder Nikole Hannah-Jones to discuss the fallout of Harvard President Claudine Gay’s Congressional testimony on campus anti-Semitism. Phillip wondered if racism has anything to do with calls for Gay to resign and Hannah-Jones was more than willing to say that it was.

Nikole Hannah-Jones joined MSNBC’s Ali Velshi on his Saturday show to discuss the criticism and banning of The 1619 Project. Naturally, Hannah-Jones simply dismissed “much of the criticism” as “not legitimate” as she continued to claim all she wants to do is teach the full story of American history.

The first two episodes of The 1619 Project series are out on Hulu, bringing Nikole Hannah-Jones’ revisionist history to the screen, with the help of handpicked historians and commentators.

CBS The Late Show host Stephen Colbert was in full activist mode for his Wednesday show as he attacked Mehmet Oz on abortion and Tudor Dixon on sexually explicit material in school libraries. For good measure, he also opened the floor to The 1619 Project’s Nikole Hannah-Jones to attack conservatives generally.

MSNBC’s Yasmin Vossoughian welcomed colleague Trymaine Lee to discuss his new series Into America: The Power of the Black Vote. For the premiere episode, Lee traveled to Texas South University to team up with students and activists to accuse the GOP of racism for passing laws prohibiting Critical Race Theory in schools.

On Jonathan Capehart's MSNBC show on Sunday, liberal professor Daina Ramey Berry says the way to avoid civil war is to have all Americans read "a syllabus of books where we understand our nation's history." She had made clear that she does not see 1776 as the key date: the implication being that the real date is the one identified in the 1619 Project.
