Twitter makes it easy to realize that the purpose of “fact-checkers” is most commonly rushing to defend Joe Biden from misinterpretation...and mockery. On September 20, Twitter warned “A video of President Biden discussing hurricane preparedness has been edited out of context, according to fact-checkers.”

Sister Toldjah at RedState reported that those “independent fact checkers” at CNN and The Washington Post rushed to Biden’s defense again on Tuesday. They were upset that Republicans pounced on Team Biden for cutting off the president’s White House video feed in mid-question on Monday in Idaho. It was truly shocking when President Biden was caught on video checking his watch at Dover Air Force Base on August 29 as the caskets of American soldiers were unloaded into vans, both Snopes.com and USA Today felt the urgent, throbbing need to claim that the grieving family members who complained were wrong.

PolitiFact just can't avoid the chance to defend Joe Biden, even if the "facts" at hand are pretty much true. On August 23, Louis Jacobson threw a "Half True" at a Daily Wire meme on Facebook about Biden cancelling the Keystone pipeline out of Canada, and now we're importing Russian oil instead. How dare conservatives connect the two! 

The fact-checkers at Snopes.com haven't done a single fact check on President Biden's statements since the Taliban took over Afghanistan. But they did do a fact check on October 18 attacking President Trump for being soft on the Taliban. A meme by the leftists at Occupy Democrats was ruled "Mostly True."

On Tuesday, "AP Fact Check" leaped to the defense of CNN reporter Clarissa Ward when Washington Times columnist Tim Young mocked her on Twitter for saying the Taliban seemed friendly. On Wednesday, AP ruined their own "fact check" by reporting the "friendly" Taliban nearly pistol-whipped one of Ward's producers in Kabul.

Snopes co-founder David Mikkelson has been accused of publishing plagiarized articles under a false name.

New York Times reporter Davey Alba attempted a fact-check on alleged Covid “misinformation” on Tuesday. It didn’t go well. Alba’s examples of “misinformation” seemed a lot like predictions and opinions, not falsehoods, including the possibility of military court-martials for vaccine refusal and the debate over the use of aborted fetal cell lines making vaccines. PolitiFact’s aggressive defense of Biden and Harris popped up again on Friday. They tagged it as “False” for a Tik-Tok video that “Says Joe Biden and Kamala Harris distrusted COVID-19 vaccines.” The quotes in the video are all accurate, but they caused Facebook to flag the video as “Missing Context.” As in – the editing is too negative for their liking.

Here’s an easy test to see whether fact-checking websites can make any claim to be “independent” and nonpartisan in tone. Biden staffers claimed Republicans “defunded the police.” That’s a bald-faced lie.

So much for the facts. A U.K.-based fact-checking outlet financed by liberal billionaire George Soros tried as early as February 2020, to swat down the idea that COVID-19 had leaked from a laboratory in communist China.
