I have to admit it is breathtaking. There is one media figure after another simply making up American history from scratch. In particular the history of presidents speaking to the nation on the Fourth of July, not to mention the presence of tanks and other military hardware at national celebrations in Washington.

I’m speaking here of the media chorus that insisted — insisted — that what President Trump, in an Oval Office address to the nation in January called a “humanitarian crisis” at the border — was in fact nothing more than a “manufactured crisis.”

A Senate Armed Services Committee hearing took an unexpected turn Wednesday when Arizona Senator Martha McSally announced that she was raped by a senior officer during her time in the Air Force. Not surprisingly, two liberal CNN guests on Wednesday’s The Lead used McSally’s testimony as an excuse to attack President Trump and even McSally herself.

During Tuesday’s The Lead, the CNN panel complained that President Trump did not act like a “Consoler-in-Chief” on the seventeenth anniversary of the 9/11 terror attacks, describing his behavior as “uber inappropriate” and suggested he may be “missing a human screw.”
