CBS This Morning co-host Norah O’Donnell on Friday pestered veteran journalist Bob Schieffer about Donald Trump’s “mental fitness” and encouraged the veteran reporter to tout the gossipy book by Michael Wolff. Asked about the error-filled tome, Scheiffer praised, “ I think he really nailed the chaos in the White House. And I think he was right on.”

At the top of his Thursday monologue on The Late Show, far-left comedian Stephen Colbert appeared to insinuate that African countries, El Salvador, and Haiti aren’t “shithole countries” as alleged by President Trump but the United States of America is the real “shithole” since Trump’s our President.

After President Trump’s leaked provocative comments about immigrants from third world countries last night, the media has predictably thrown itself into a frenzied state, spending just about every waking minute of reporting on the inflammatory remark. CNN anchor Don Lemon was no different, unleashing a scathing tirade against the President to open the first hour of CNN Tonight on January 11.  

During an interview with Vermont Senator Bernie Sanders (I) on Thursday’s Cuomo Prime Time, CNN host Chris Cuomo’s rage boiled over as attacked his guest for not doing more to stop President Trump and the GOP agenda. “He's cleaning your clock on the policy matters,” he yelled, clearly agitated with the string of victories and good news for Trump and GOP.

On Thursday’s The Situation Room, CNN analysts and correspondents brought out the long knives for President Trump after his disturbing and startling comments about certain countries being “sh***holes,” using it to bludgeon home the notion that Trump is “racist” and “inject[ing] a lot of poison” into the immigration debate.

An editorial in Thursday’s New York Times made hay of a partisan Democratic report concerning alleged Russian interference in the 2016 presidential election: “A Grave Warning on Russian Meddling.” The text box: “Senate Democrats issue the most comprehensive public analysis thus far of Moscow’s war on the West.” 

Thursday on ABC’s The View, hosts Sunny Hostin and Joy Behar sparred with host Meghan McCain and guest host, actress and singer Keke Palmer, over the trustworthiness of the media. Behar and Hostin complained that no one trusted the media anymore, when they were only trying to give “the truth” and “the facts.”

CNN host Anderson Cooper played the comedian on Monday night, mocking President Trump in his feature "The Ridiculist," comparing Trump's "stable genius" quote to two old comedy animals: Wile E. Coyote and Mr. Ed, as well as Mindy Kaling's character on The Office. Trump is always mocked for besmirching the seriousness of the office of President, but no one has that kind of respect for the office…

CBS journalists, who have downplayed the problem of illegal immigration, on Thursday chose the sympathetic story of DACA medical school student Dreamers. The on-screen graphic for the segment read, “Dream in Jeopardy.” Co-host Norah O’Donnell introduced reporter Adrianna Diaz as “outside of Chicago where a group of future doctors is watching the DACA debate very nervously.” 

CNN International journalist Christiane Amanpour sat down with Tom Hanks and Meryl Streep, the stars of Steven Spielberg’s new film, The Post, Wednesday, to talk about what else? How their movie was a referendum on President Trump.

Appearing on NBC’s Late Night With Seth Meyers on Wednesday, aired early Thursday morning, MSNBC host Lawrence O’Donnell described how much “easier” it was to find material for his left-wing show under the Trump administration compared to the supposed challenge of finding anything newsworthy during Barack Obama’s presidency.

Sparks flew during Wednesday’s edition of CNN’s Cuomo Prime Time when White House adviser Kellyanne Conway sparred with rude and demeaning host Chris Cuomo as they discussed the news of the day. But during one section, in particular, Conway took Cuomo to task for twisting the facts about the administration’s response to the opioid crisis and the border wall’s effectiveness on drug trafficking.
