On Wednesday night, the CBS Evening News and NBC Nightly News remained aboard the proverbial liberal media party bus pushing Congress to impeach President Trump and delay or thwart Brett Kavanaugh from reaching the Supreme Court following Tuesday’s bad Trump headlines involving Michael Cohen and Paul Manafort.

At this unique moment in American history, liberals and conservatives have something in common: an abhorrence of government prosecutors run amok. Republicans are livid at the federal fishing expedition known as the Mueller investigation. Bit players have been dragooned into an endlessly politicized probe. The media has taken sides; nonstop leaks have tainted the process.

With the continuing hysteria about Donald Trump's presidency, a few questions come to mind. The first: Can a bad man become a good president? The second: Does one's being a good man guarantee he'll be a good president? Third: Does having a good president require a good man? Is there any evidence of Lord Acton's argument that “great men are almost always bad men?”

It seems that good news for President Donald Trump cannot be delivered by many liberal news outlets without putting a negative spin on it. Such was the case with Anthony Man of the Fort Lauderdale Sun-Sentinel who had to report on August 21 that Trump's approval rating is at it highest level which was immediately followed by a negative spin caveat. 

On Wednesday afternoon, as MSNBC Live with Craig Melvin covered the story of Mollie Tibbetts and reports that she was allegedly killed by an illegal immigrant, far-left MSNBC contributor Zerlina Maxwell misleadingly hinted that whites are more likely to commit violent crimes than illegal immigrants as she lamented that President Donald Trump has spoken about the case.

Not even 24 hours after news broke that missing Iowa student Mollie Tibbetts was murdered by an illegal immigrant, the media are already trying to sweep the story under the rug and whine that Republicans want to distract attention away from the “more important” Michael Cohen plea deal.

In his haste to outline the impeachment process for liberal viewers hoping to see President Trump removed from office, on Wednesday, MSNBC anchor Ali Velshi got a couple key facts wrong. Later in the 11:00 a.m. ET hour show, Velshi corrected his mistakes after being alerted to them by members of the audience via social media.

While speaking at a rally in West Virginia on Tuesday, President Trump claimed the administration will stand up and defend people who say they are censored on social media.  

During Poppy Harlow’s Wednesday show, CNN Newsroom, the anchor took the time to fact check some of President Trump’s tweets from that morning. However, Harlow stopped the buck halfway on one of the tweets, choosing to ignore a valid comparison to Barack Obama’s 2008 campaign.

Following the conviction of former Trump campaign chairman Paul Manafort and guilty pleas from former Trump attorney Michael Cohen on various federal charges on Tuesday, all three network morning shows on Wednesday declared the president’s impeachment to now be the main focus of the upcoming midterm elections.

This morning, the news and cable networks were abuzz with talk of “Watergate” and impeachment, salivating over the idea that Michael Cohen’s plea deal would lead to Trump’s ousting. Over and over again, the media compared the betrayal of the President’s former personal lawyer to Nixon’s scandal, calling Trump an “unindicted co-conspirator” in a scandal that was as big as Watergate.
