Here's a Saturday "parlor game" for political junkies. Guess which statement on NPR's "Week in Politics" segment on Friday night's so-called All Things Considered comes from the supposed liberal/Democrat pundit, and which comes from the supposed conservative/Republican pundit. This can be pretty tricky, since they sound very, very similar.

Between Monday and Tuesday, MSNBC host Andrea Mitchell devoted two segments on her afternoon show to giving an unchallenged forum to environmental activists promoting the preferred liberal view that global warming is caused by humans and is making hurricane seasons worse, as Democratic Governor Jerry Brown appeared on Monday's show and former Vice President Al Gore on Tuesday.

Following on the heels of his Wednesday show peddling falsehoods and conspiracy theories regarding the sexual misconduct claim against Supreme Court pick Brett Kavanaugh, MSNBC’s Hardball host Chris Matthews doubled down for Thursday’s edition plus took the gross step of ranking the Kavanaugh claim as worse than the spousal abuse alleged by Rob Porter and the alleged pedophilia by Roy Moore.

While watching live coverage of President Trump handing out meals to victims of Hurricane Florence in New Bern, North Carolina on Wednesday morning, MSNBC anchor Ali Velshi claimed that the event was “staged.” He was immediately corrected by the reporter on location who doubted that was the case.

If you had to think of an adjective that the nation’s mainstream media would most readily apply to supporters of President Trump, what would it be? “Bigoted,” “unintelligent,” and the now-infamous “deplorable” immediately come to mind. Hardly a news cycle seems to churn by where Trump, his policies, and his proponents aren’t categorically smeared.
