During an appearance on ABC’s The View Thursday morning, Comedy Central host Larry Wilmore hilariously mocked NBC Nightly News anchor Brian Williams following his suspension surrounding lies he made about his reporting in Iraq.
When asked by co-host Rosie Perez if he would rather replace Jon Stewart or Brian Williams, Wilmore responded that while he would rather replace Stewart, “apparently fake news happens in both chairs nowadays.”
The Nightly Show host explained that he would pick Jon Stewart because “I'm not interested in real news. I'm only interested in fake news. Are you kidding me?” before calling out the “fake news” that Brian Williams has apparently been covering from the Nightly News anchor desk.
