On CNN’s The Lead with Jake Tapper today, Tapper reported on a woman who’s very happy with the way ObamaCare is working:
TAPPER: That's not a yes. Park is still working on fixes, but Tony Trenkle, the chief information officer for the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid, which is running the site, resigned. The Web site does have some satisfied customers out there, such as Flora Brewer of Fort Worth, Texas, who says she found coverage similar to what she has now, but for a lower price.
FLORA BREWER, SATISFIED WITH OBAMACARE: Well, I'm very happy with this coverage. They said, oh, yes, we have got your application. We have got you. You're -- you're enrolled.
TAPPER: That was only after Brewer gave the system repeated chances, of course. . .
Flora has been the subject of media attention recently. On September 29, the Star-Telegram stated she’d had a job at a home health services company and was now running her family’s real estate business:
“I have been looking at the websites, and I know that come Oct. 1, I certainly won’t be paying more,” Brewer said.
What wasn’t mentioned by Tapper is that, according to Federal Election Commission records, Flora Brewer of Ft. Worth, Texas has contributed thousands of dollars to Democratic candidates and causes, including $2,750 to Obama for America and $1,000 to the Obama Victory Fund 2012. Her most recent recorded contribution was April of this year, when she gave $2,500 to the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee. Brewer’s FEC record shows she worked at a company whose Web site states it “employs, trains and monitors personal attendant care providers," so this would seem to be the same happy lady.
It’s possible this woman’s fervor for Obama and other Democrats might have something to do with her sanguine view of ObamaCare. CNN viewers should have been provided that information so they could make up their own minds.
